Boredom with food

I'm sorry if I have posted in the wrong place, but I did not know where else to post.

I am getting really bored with savoury food. But as I cannot eat sweet treats for every meal, I have had to resort to using sauces to liven everything up.

I have been through Brown sauce, ketchup, barbeque sauce, mayonnaise.. I am currently at salad cream which seems to be working.

Does anyone else have this issue? is there a name for it?

Please be kind, it's a serious question.

I get this sometimes so I use a lot of hot sauce. There's a brand here in the states called Frank's RedHot and I go through a lot of the buffalo sauce where I put it on just about everything.

I don't know that there's a name for it, I do know that I get an endorphin kick from it because some of the hotter sauces cause mild pain - especially the Nashville Hot one.

I like hot things too, Maybe my sense of taste is going through eating too much of it. I'm just bored with food but cannot think of anything new. So I change the sauce instead.

I'd be fine just having a substantial liquid like a milkshake with all the nutrients and minerals needed. Needing to eat has always been a big inconvenience to me. I guess I'm the exact opposite of a "foodie"

I do that too. Not only sauces but I will use different chili powders or cumin powder in things. Doesn't necessarily change the taste but adds something.

I'd be fine with that. But my husband would get annoyed and say I wasn't eating properly.

I have similar situation... mainly from a poor sense of smell. The foods I tend to seek out are those with a lot of sweet and spicy... like spicy hot Chinese dishes, Mex-Tex chili, spicy ribs, hot n' spicy meaty pizzas, etc. Otherwise... most foods are neither good nor bad.
