Biting My Lip

ems

Well-Known Member
I bite my lip a lot. By accident!

When I am eating, I relax the inside of my mouth/cheek and end up chomping on it.

A LOT.

I do that a few times if the top lip flap crease is too much for me to talk normally but it's usually when I'm not thinking about it.

I'm pretty much constantly chewing the insides of my cheeks.

EDIT: I should add, not by accident.

If you often bite the inside of your cheek or lip by accident, your teeth are probably misaligned. If you can go to an orthodontist, they can probably help you.

Meanwhile, the swelling from this often causes me to do it again. I have found that an ice cube applied to the sore spot eases pain and reduces swelling enough to help prevent another bite there.
