Being quiet and good at school had me overlooked for disorders, deficits etc.

Story of my life right there! I was never the "ADHD" kid who couldn't sit still. I excelled academically at all levels. No one worries about the quiet, studious girl...until she reaches adulthood with no friends and can't manage relationships or jobs because of the autist traits.
 
Yes, exactly! Except for me a drug problem rears its ugly head and throws me and everyone else off the trail for a couple decades!
