Autism level 1 / Asperger syndrome supplement advice

Do a while back I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome now Autismlevel 1, I function very well, I have a very good job that I am very good at, I independently travel I am now 33, I am healthy and dont take any prescription medications.

This all having being said I do have some things which I assume are common traits in that I am very routine driven, I can give examples if helpful but basically there has to be certain routines, I have started trying to fight against these with a moderate degree of success, now when I work I am getting up at 5-6 in the morning and tbe night before I am up yo about 1-2 not because I cant sleep but becuase I might be very involved like if I am on a computer game for example but this can go to extreme lengths for example if I am playing in a computer game and talking to someone I may start needing to pee at 6 in the evening but choose to delay it until about 7-7:30 but I obviously always make it to the toilet , I should also say that despite the lack of sleep I dont really feel tired or loss of energy the next day.

Another thing thats strange is I have very good reaction tomes at work but if I am playing an online game my reaction times are very bad, I am also very immature for my afe in that patents still cook, clean etc but again like pering I choose often to drlay eating, also I an quite awkward socially and have few friends but that bei g said no one rea,ly knows that I have this so I hide it well, but even when my few friends arrange a night out I go out and know thats what I should be doing but rush to go talking to people that are not as interested that what my real life friends are and I am aware of this but do it anyway, also I am quite clingy bur very cling both to people I talk to in real life and online, some other things is my coordination is not the best so for example I used to play tennis I was fine with my Forehand but not that good at navkhand, I do drink around 3 regular coffees and 1 tea each day and poor diet but I wouldn't be able to seitch to decaffe.

My question is and obviously any suggestions I would be checking with GP before starting this and I know there is no cure as such but my question is are there any widely available supplements preferably in shop and not online in UK that would be helpful with everything I have described tbat is safe with coffee and also alcohol as occasionally I have alcohol but not often that is safe to take on a daily basis preferably as few supplements as possible or stack if needed that dont effect blood pressure, kidneys etc, and that I can take before I leave in the morning and when I return home that compliment each other that helps in my specific situation and what times are best in my situation and shojkd this be every day even if at Weekends I lie in so usually get up later at this time not sure if it should make mucg difference and I should say in my specific situation at the beginning good chance my brain will naturally try and resist earlier sleeping paterns but obviously I am not looking for something which will sedate me more something that works with the brain to help the issues and am I better after a while to try and taper off the supplement or supplements or take them indefinitely
 
But I am not sure specifically in my situation what is best, I am guessing I am best with supplements which cross the blood brain barrier like Magnesium L threonine but I do t know if a combination is best and thought maybe someone here would have an idea, there is limited research online, ideally as I say it is with less supplements as possible that help specific to my traits but I understand it is most likely a stack but again also as I say o especially that don't interfere with anything such as blood pressure, kidneys etc but of course will check this before starting, I know what all the issues with me are specific to me going on in the brain, I just don't know what specific supplements work on it and also if they are designed to be used daily for life or to eventually to be tapered off but this is a good starting place for me to look at thanks

With over-the-counter products like so many supplements, I suspect it's a "hit-and-miss" proposition. Where you just have to experiment to see what works with your individual metabolism and what may not work. And to research how much and how often one should consume them. I know some of them can be toxic if taken too often or in high amounts.
 
An interesting subject. Frankly I was unaware if any specific supplements when it comes to autism. But they're out there. Though whether or not they are effective is anyone's guess when it comes to supplements in general. I still take multivitamins for people my age, autistic or not.

Fresh ground flax seeds are great source of omega 3.
There maybe a link between autiusm and wireless radiation. Avoidance is the best.

All of what you mentioned is development and it won't improve overnight, it takes years by definition, if given the right conditions. Autistic people might have dyspraxia, alexythymia, executive dysfuntion - those aren't good conditions to develop skills such as motor skills, self-care, emotional intelligence etc.

I am not looking for something which will sedate me more something that works with the brain to help the issues and am I better after a while to try and taper off the supplement or supplements or take them indefinitely
The issue in autism is overstimulation, so the brain is too activated. The solution is sedatives of various kinds. Some work better than others for specific people. You can also approach it without chemistry, behaviourally. Exposure to bright light, noise, itchy clothes, smells, lack of routine is bad on us.

I should also say that despite the lack of sleep I dont really feel tired or loss of energy the next day.
The lack of sleep might not be healthy in the long term regardless.

I wish I had read this sooner, I would have replied immediately.

There are NO supplements that are going to assist with autism, and anyone that claims otherwise is either brainwashed or they stand to make lots of money out of telling lies. The link that @Judge provided is a classic example, one of it's recommendations is Vitamin B6.

The Australian Government has just threatened several pharmaceutical companies with legal action as well as starting a public information campaign about the dangers of excess Vitamin B6. For those in the US, this is one of the benefits of having a government run health system, it's in the government's best interests to look in to issues like this.

Rising cases of vitamin B6 toxicity causing concerns for peak medical bodies

Thanks, so is there anything I can do, I know its not a quick fix and I know no cure but is there anything that could somewhat help even if not to a great degree

So is there any other steps I can take su h as CBT or anything like that although I understand that's unlikely to help with the motor co-ordination
