autism/disability based t shirts

toothless

this is mr shadow,my support cat
have any of you got one? care to share a photo of it?

or would you fancy one?
i know some autists feel uncomfortable wearing them but i think it depends on what your wearing.

i recently ordered a neurodiversity t shirt on amazon,as i went through the entire collection of autism shirts-they were either aimed at showing how brave the parent was for having an autistic child or were saying things like 'kiss me,im autistic', im autistic, whats your excuse' etc, im not comfortable with all that so i ordered this beauty:

the infinity logo is what should represent us,not a friggin puzzle piece.

"I'm autistic, what's your excuse," sounds more like something you'd say to someone being as ass not something to have on a t-shirt. I don't know if i'd do a t-shirt, I do want to start a tattoo sleeve though was saving up for it this year but if course nothing will ever work out if you try to set a goal. >:

I do like the puzzle pieces but I love puzzles anyway, I have many of them up around my house many missing a few pieces because I've had them forever and wasn't allowed to glue then together when I was younger so pieces have been lost.

i dont know...i interpret the 'im autistic...whats your excuse' line to be like you are making excuses for all kinds of behaviors,if i have behaviors i would rather say im sorry than say 'im autistic'.
i think for you,the puzzle piece makes perfect sense,as you relate to it as it being one of your passions, but do you feel autism is a puzzle,a mystery?
i feel that was an interpretation put on us by parents, and for me anyway i feel the infinity logo fits better as theres no negativity and it was created by one of our own.

im totally with you on the tatoo idea, would you get the infinity logo tatooed,or prefer a puzzle design?
theres one i found on google a while ago that i reckon a lot of us on here would love-its cats in an infinity logo shape:

im deadly loving that design and really fancy it as a tat.
the design is two passions of mine, cats and neurodiversity/autism related.
have you looked at any autism tatt designs?

theres one ASD related t shirt on amazon that looked pretty funny,it said 'you read my shirt, thats enough social interaction for today',so some of them arent so obvious and are not pointing it out you have x or y syndrome.

Know the saying, "Been there, done that, got the t-shirt."

I didn't even know there was a t-shirt!:)

just search 'autism t shirt' in amazon or cafe press or zazzle and you will find some beauties [and some dodgy ones]!
i even bought a t shirt at the same time as the diversity one-with a specific breed of fish on it-a clown loach, as i have one in my tank, you can get anything off them really, you can even make your own design/upload your own picture onto cafe press or zazzle for use on a tshirt/bag/jumper etc.

Toothless, your image is really lovely.
the cat/infinity logo? its not mine unfortunately,i dont know who made it i found it on a google image search a while ago.

I think t's with things that really only recognizable to others with similar issues would be fun. Like once I met a deaf guy wearing a shirt that said "DInyland".get it?
Any ideas?

Haha I'd probably actually only say it to a friend that was giving me sh*t.

The tattoo I want will be a sleeve starting over my shoulder as a puzzle that starts falling apart down my arm down to my lower arm I want some Star Trek in it as well as the quotes, "Live long and prosper," and, "Today is a good day to die." I'm thinking the Klingon phrase I'd probably get in Klingon rather than English... I'm just stuck thinking of what exactly to have on the actual puzzle part, I don't want a bunch of mismatched color pieces, that seems a bit ridiculous, puzzle pieces fit together is supposed to make a image, the way they do it Tetris pieces would make more sense as they are different colors. It'll probably be something nature based like maybe a cherry blossom tree. It's a long, long way off especially since this year has been kicked down for me now. I don't want to even start it until I have a grand towards it. I also need to find an artist that can freehand sketches for me so I can get a complete visual of what a finished piece will look like before I start.

The completed puzzle could be you, just a thought.
