Aspies sharing medical advice & symptoms

If you had any interesting insight such as why do some believe autism deaths are heart related then your opinion counts.
Then you understand this and stop parrot repeating what we already know of diabetes
Some speed read large amounts of data and group and sort by relevance, get it?

@Kayla55
I realize I could be really misunderstanding you here and I will apologize if I am. But are these comments directed at @Owliet?

Again, please tell me if I am wrong and I hope that I am wrong.

If not, then I would like to let you know that we really do not speak to other members like this here, and it feels like you are attacking someone with your words. I know you are new here and I realize that you disclosed communication problems, but I would urge you to use more compassion in the words that you choose even when you are feeling strong feelings about something.

If you can read between lines or connect dots....then if I said I have low blood pressure ND my mum has diabetes what is medical connection. Why should be monitor blood pressure in autistic with medical problems? If you had any interesting insight such as why do some believe autism deaths are heart related then your opinion counts.

Then you understand this and stop parrot repeating what we already know of diabetes. Hence:artificial intelligence

Though they may sound similar, they are vastly different. While blood sugar is a measurement of the levels of glucose in the body, blood pressure refers to the amount of blood the heart pumps and the resistance to it in the arteries. Extremities of both are considered to be metabolic disorders

Over time, diabetes damages the small blood vessels in your body, causing the walls of the blood vessels to stiffen. This increases pressure, which leads to high blood pressure.” The combination of high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes can greatly increase your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.

Edward Podolsky on chemical brew of criminal behaviour. And other scholar articles lead to believe in behaviour linked to chemical state in body.
Look this up....before you comment on addiction to substance you should know what you talking about.

This is an autism science discussion and being aspire I wasn't being rude, just technical. And yes, many type 2 diabetics can crave sugar and behave with addictive behaviour.
I already apologised about lack of background and acknowledged point in case regarding specifics of diabetes 1 and 2

A man was once arrested for stealing a burger, his lawyer had him acquiited due to chemical imbalance that lead to addiction

A person who stops taking insulin may exhibit behaviour problems as result of 'chemicalness.....'

A person who is addicted to a substance may show behaviour out of sorts.

I still don’t understand who you are speaking to in this harsh way. Please calm down. We thrive on trying to understand each other and hear each other out here.

If a toddler/child isn't readily eating solids then try smoothies, milkshakes.....progress from preparing milkshake to serving ice cream and spoon in front of them. Allow them to be curious and decide for themselves if they interested.
Try waffles, ice cream, nuts and cookies
I'm sure this will help

Now I will say that diet affects autism because it does. When parents give children ice-cresm it's not cream and it's not healthy...it's a treat. It's not real dairy....long life milk isn't really suitable for toddlers either as it lacks what fresh milk has. Don't tell me this isn't relevant, when we finish anti-biotics we take real dairy to replace cultures and children living on processed cancer cereal and long life milk are not eating properly.

I'm having difficulty reconciling these two statements.

Nor will I condone and apologise for factory farms and it's not just unhealthy eating it's about spiritual aspect of eating cruelty.

???

I am entitled to my opinion and have disclaimed it's not medical advice, it's my opinion.

You titled this thread "Aspies sharing medical advice..."

It sounds like you're upset right now @Kayla55.

While I can't speak for you, when I'm upset, sometimes I'm not able to be as objective as I usually am, and sometimes I may get very excitable and jump into conversations and say things that I may later regret, and so when I recognize that I'm "on edge" I usually give myself a "time out".

Trust and camaraderie take time to build up, but can be destroyed or severely damaged in moments of indiscretion when we are not ourselves. An when people may feel attacked by someone who is new and who doesn't have an established history to fall back on, that person may find that others may become more hesitant to engage with them going forward. I hope for you that doesn't happen here. Take care.

About how much did she have to consume each day?
Half a pound every 2 days. And like most diabetics she was a shocker for eating lollies. She used to have a fairly strict diet overall and she exercised a lot too, she'd skip rope for half an hour before going to bed every night.

"I wasn't being rude, just technical." We don't use our condition as an excuse for being unpleasant. If we can learn all the science stuff, we can also learn manners.

Nor will I condone and apologise for factory farms and it's not just unhealthy eating it's about spiritual aspect of eating cruelty.
I am entitled to my opinion and have disclaimed it's not medical advice, it's my opinion.

This is autism forum not diabetes, read title and I told you already my communication problem, so I corrected it with background. This is diabetes 2 in relation to autism and not diabetes....do you get that yet???

Adding hormones and over milking cows is not just disgustingly cruel but poses questions of health. Why? Because of what hormones do to body and exposure to infants. Australian research shows autism is related to stomach gut. Autistic people seem to have different bacteria to neuro-typicals. This is the relevance.

Type 2 diabetes in some cases (not all) is caused by obesity which is poor diet and correcting the diet can for some result in diabetes going away, but is not always case. So if this isn't one of those topics that you specialise in and you not up to scratch or lack artificial intelligence then pls pls pretty please do what your doctor or whatever said.
What does factory farming have to do with this? That is something else entirely and that is not what I was addressing. You referred to diabetes as something at fault, that is entirely putting something under an umbrella and claiming that everyone is like this. That is something that is deserved… You also claimed that diabetes is something that can be healed with just good diet. Didn’t you say this in your other posts? You are entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is allowed to be disagreed with and refuted. I told you that this is dangerous because you can’t just do that for a Type 1.

Seems like you read the posts without reading them, then you went into full rage and started making fine veiled insults because someone disagreed ? And I was quite reasonable in my early posts…

Yes Owliet, I've being critised and treated as a dumb women my whole life.
I want to make a difference at my age, I want to help mothers who have a child who died of say epilepsy, someone who donated her son's body to research. Maybe I'm head over my feet sharing my thoughts and hoping others might feel to share too.

I haven't had time to discover more on type a diabetes, my car won't start, mechanic didn't come and there I am fixing my own car again.

I'm having a midlife crisis, maybe. So yes, ND sorry I came across as self absorbed but I really want to do more than a job that pays, and people really never gave me a chance in life.

Please stop arguing me on type a diabetes, if you or doctors wish to make progress and start to solve the issue around. My work is related to medical that is directly affected by autism and is what we have in our family.

I sincerely apologise that my learnt defences towards those who sit and credit themselves tend to do less and as time goes by its debatable as to why developments in certain fields are lacking or slow, and my reasoning is to many arrogant overqualified selfish gloated people. Generally neuro-typixals who understand things to their understanding.
I was watching the good doctor and it was really a nerve for me because many people are in denial and I've gone on to define denial as having various forms of capsules. The person surrounds themselves by a capsule that allows them to deny and see what they wish. This capsule can become in-penetrable over time

You are what you eat. If you are not concerned about where you food comes from, well you should be. It's not just practice of factory farming but preservatives and money making process. It's how consumers are not aware of why the food isn't healthy.

Before realising I was on spectrum I was in gym trying to shape up my skinny arms and going into diet. People accused me of being on drugs as I was strange and underweight. I battled through lifting weights and felt awful about my lack of progress. I just ended up doing jogging and cardio was best incessant in my long term health. It is difficult to say mom's you need to go on diet, I never said that. I said mom's you need to eat healthy....food is the most raw form of daily medicine and would benefit any one with diabetes or other health issues but doesn't disclaim you can stop your meds, so again consult with your health provider

Clarify: our friends dad also had diabetes and did go around to neighbours house asking for sugar....an innocent request. Elmarie was in a fit because after calling the police she found out they could not break into house, by time she took matters into her own hands and broke the window, he did not make it.

I did speak to the head nurse at old age home and consult with her regarding my mom's allowed out shopping under supervision once a week but she does this. She loves chocolate and around pay day I know to check up on her!!!

Recognising and accepting a problem is to help the situation, but is never easy.
Diabetics of type 2 have an addiction to sugar that is a poison, ok!!!

80% of the people admitted through Hospital Emergency rooms are clinically dehydrated. When I'm running a litre low, as can easily happen if I have been focussed on a job, I get too stupid to figure out the problem for about a day. If I were cynical and avaricious, I would package up some harmless powder and market it as a tonic so concentrated that it had to be taken with two glasses of water. To take care of myself, I record my water intake.

Diabetics of type 2 have an addiction to sugar that is a poison, ok!!!

Some of them likely do. There are many different kinds of unhealthy relationships with food and other circumstances that can contribute to type 2 diabetes. I think it is important not to generalize too much especially when one is speaking of behavioral addictions.

Thanks Shevek. When you say dehydrated could this also be low blood pressure.....are the patients you refer to on the spectrum or just in general.

I'm staying in a really hot area at moment, sometimes reaches 45* and I don't take a sugar salt mixture but I'll drink water and more water and doesn't help. So I wasn't always a breakfast person and that's why I thought I had low blood pressure, and it is a factor but not only one. Energy drink or coke helps to spike my energy levels.

At times I would lack energy and feel faint, I remember few times laying on bathroom floor of public toilet waiting for anemia to pass.

When we got covid first time my son and I both had pains in ribs followed by pulses in and it jogged memories of childhood when I had few occirsnces of this. Now I'm a passive person and if people fight with me my heart rate soars to record levels, this is the intensity of autistic emotions or at least I feel that way.

Pulses in heart after rib pain.

I always suffered from headaches but for last 3 years since I have pain in my hands I've had migraines, really high doses of panado that one should worry of organ damage(never aspirin not cause thins blood but heartburn) My one eye also twitches and starts to close as if by stroke. I switch lights off often and rest my eyes in dark.

Alcohol has bad effect on both my mom's and I....and I take much longer than others to recover from hangover.....as in glass after glass of fruit juice to spike energy.
Before diabetes my mom's drink occasionally and after 1 GG lass wine behave crazy!!!
We now both don't touch alcohol

My mom doesn't listen, again psychiatric drugs changed from schitso now it's bipolar and her meds epilum.

She was shaking as I fetched from old age home to visit. So check blood pressure, very high, and her heart rate is not stable!!
How many people don't know that aspirin isn't suitable for everyone, no Mon you shouldn't thin your blood, say doesn't insulin do this.
So age as factor is when insulin which is hormone is produced by body less...very interesting

Specifically, the hormones epinephrine and norepinephrine make the brain's blood vessels expand and contract. High blood sugar messes with the normal flow of blood and can make your head hurt until your blood levels are more in equilibrium. Headache

7 signs you have high blood sugar even if you don't have diabetes

Every year, nearly 100,000 adults aged 65 and older are admitted to the hospital for drug side effects. In a recent study, the majority of problems were caused by "blood thinners" (warfarin and other oral anti-thrombosis drugs) and diabetes drugs (insulin and oral diabetes medicines). Preventing serious side effects is a job for the patient, the family, caregivers, and health professionals.

Disclaimer and advice: warfarin and aspirin must not be taken with epilum, read side effects.

The earliest Insulin was created by pureeing the pancreas of animals if I remember correctly. So the liver is not really all that far removed from the medicine! I think if I were in that situation, I would probably make a nice liver smoothie with lots of other things to disguise the liver. Of course assuming it wouldn't negate the effect of the liver! Though I guess after a while it would get tedious and I would just eat the liver and hold my nose!
Pls review my thread to see what's relevant, drugs that can kill you

“Diabetics are worse than smokers, it’s addiction”. Seriously? You have zero understanding about the whole entirety of diabetes. TYPE 2 may be caused by excessive over eating BUT TYPE 1 is NOT the fault of the person who has it. It is really stupidly dangerous to make the assumption that there is only one type of diabetes. There are at least 2. ZWEI. People can die from type 1. They can lose their arms, legs if it’s not fully managed. Educated yourself properly on what diabetes is Before making ridiculous overarching statements that can potentially be damaging. And I am not apologizing for this.
Pls review my thread it's about drug combination that can kill you and effects of blood pressure such headaches
