Hi I'm new here. My psychiatrist suggested I find out about Asperger's syndrome in women because she thinks I might be on the spectrum. Since I started reading I've had so many amazing "me too" moments that I think she's probably right.

I'm Scottish, I live in Aberdeen. I'm separated and sadly getting divorced but am preparing to be baptised Christian at Easter which has been really positive for me since I was made homeless, single and redundant last year. I often find it hard to make new friends but sometimes I meet someone really special.
I am looking forward to meeting people here. I hope I can share experiences and learn more about being myself.

Welcome aboard :)
I hope you enjoy this friendly community here. Best wishes.

The easiest place to start / the forum that convinced me that I belong here was the: "Obsessions & Interests" forum. If you read thru a couple of those and fall off your chair laughing more than 6-7 times, then there's a good chance you should stick around for a while............ :)

Are you a scotch drinker, or is that a silly question ?

Hi Marmot, thanks I'll check out some of the stories [emoji4] afraid I don't really drink whisky, I never got the taste for it. I prefer a vodka and Coke or a glass of wine [emoji6]

Hi I'm a newbie too I respect that ur getting baptised finding out something like this has made me find my faith that I'd lost for many years so I totally relate to what your doing and good for you

Welocome zoedundas. I've have had many of those "me to" moments as well. I'm 43 and have not yet been officially diagnosed, but have lived all my life wondering why I'm so different. It helps to know that we are not in this alone.
