Are you in a band or do you record your own music?

I'm looking for music to go with my video series. Something to play in the credits and opening sequence.

I'd love to use Tori Amos but I can't afford the licensing fees at the moment. So if any one has some downloadable music that might fit the bill, please pm me or leave a comment here in the tread.

IMPORTANT: It must be music you have complete rights to.

If you're just looking for music to play in the background of you videos and don't plan to use it as an "official" theme. Then I would recommend using whats called royalty-free music. Royalty-free music comes already licensed for use as background music for video production use. here is a list of 3 artists that use royalty-free licensing.

Tangerine dream
Brian Eno
Iasos

You may want to check out modarchive.org. they have hundreds of songs that are all royalty-free.

Brian Eno did the soundtrack for Neverwhere. It's good to have tucked away in the back of my head but it's not what I'm looking for exactly.

I'm asking if anyone here has music they'd like me to use so that

A: I can work out some sort of payment to them directly.

B: I have the Asperger's community on board with the project by having someone contribute to it in this way.

I would rather have someone who knows their music is being used for this project. Brian Eno would be nice but I don't know him and I feel it would be impossible to talk to him directly.

Just go on YouTube and search for "Royalty free music", and if you're using something like Firefox browser, you can download the videos, which is perfectly legal... What might not be so legal is using "Specialist" software to rip the music from the videos.

Yes. I am aware of the concept of Royalty Free Music.

But as I clearly stated, I am looking for a musician with original music.

I'm not sure what the confusion is but if you are not in a band, or you do not record your own original music, and you do not want to collaborate on this video project PLEASE DO NOT REPLY.

@NateSean, if you strike out finding a composer who is on the spectrum, you might try Fiverr. It's hit-and-miss, as far as quality of the completed project, but it's hard to beat the price (as low as $5!). Best part about it is you'll get an original composition that isn't used in a thousand other videos/podcasts.
