Are there any office chairs that aren't junk?

It seems like every office/computer chair I buy is complete garbage. The pistons where out in a manner of 3 months. I only weight about 205 pounds. I can't lower the chair to the bottom and use it, because I have arthritis in my si joint and it'll hurt my back. I have to do a lot of work on the computer for college, so I need a chair that'll hold up. Any suggestions? I need the chair to have arms as well.

Herman Miller Official Store. But hey...you didn't say anything about prices. But over the years I've come to the conclusion that really good quality furniture generally costs really good money.

I have a real preference for "Eames" style office chairs...but OMG, the prices! I have a knockoff of such chairs at a fraction of the price. (Z-Line Designs) Seems good after two years of constant use.

I wound up ordering a $79 German made chair piston. It had all good reviews and it comes with a 5 year warranty. Top of the line products are German made, unlike Chinese made garbage put together by child labor.

Steelcase makes the best office furniture, some made in this country and their cheaper chairs in China. They last forever and are expensive, but try to find when a doctor or dentist is redecorating. They always get the best and unload their old stuff and if it is a Steelcase chair or desk buy it. New chairs can cost at least $1500.00 but will outlast you.
Herman Miller is their competition and cheaper but you an tell. A lot of dot Comanes that went under all bought Steelcase. My husband works for Steelcase so kinda I'm a little biased.
