just wondering if there are any fans of the BBC series robot wars? it was a show first on BBC 2 then on the precursor of BBC three, BBC choice and then on five before it cames back on BBC2. i found the show to be quite interesting and hilarious especially the commentary by Johnathan pearce

Yep, I love that show. :D

I was so stoked when I first heard they were bringing it back in 2016, and I've watched all the episodes since then.
Here's hoping they get the Robot Wars World Championship going again soon, as we had two international episodes called the "World Series" in December 2017/January 2018 which pitted four UK robots against four robots from the rest of the world,
which the UK won on both counts (13 - 4 in the first episode, 16 - 3 in the second)

To my knowledge, the UK has won the World Championships three times in a row - the first two times with Razer and the third with Storm 2 - so it would be interesting to see if we could keep that winning streak going.

Yeah I agree there; replacing Craig Charles was a big mistake in my opinion.
That said, Dara O'Briain does a decent job.

Dara O'Briain was good in that Go 8 Bit thing on Dave, well almost anybody could do a better games show than that annoying Scottish bloke who did Games Master in the 90's on Channel 4.

Yes!! Absolutely loved it! A group of us in my uni maths class very nearly applied to go on it! I was gutted when it ended and still occasionally watch re-runs on TV when I find them.

Would you still want to be a contestant, out of curiosity, or are you happy to just watch it now?
(I'm not making any offers - I'm just curious)

For anyone who's interested, here's an old video made before the show came back that explains the origins of the show, why it was cancelled and its legacy.

I haven't thought about it to be honest. I don't really know people that would have the time to do it. I'm not even sure I would!
