Has anyone tried doing a crowdfunding project? What were the challenges, setbacks, and successes?

Cool! Thanks. I think I'm just going to go ahead and do it. As they say, you only live once. That and I can think of no better a time or place to do it. What service are you thinking of using? I looked at indiegogo, Kickstarter, and GoFundMe. I'm 90% leaning towards GoFundMe.Hi Wanderer,
I am working on launching a crowdfunding campaign.
I'll let you know
This sounds like an interesting project. You might want to look at travel writers for inspiration. Your project may be of interest to more than just the autistic community. Likewise, leave the title open ended until you are finished. You never know what will arise on your journey. You may come across some great quote or theme that really catches people's attention. Why thank you! LMAO. I agonized over the camera angle. I'm a 38 year old geezer! I needed the laugh this morning. I kind of have to get over the self-doubt and 'what ifs'
My project is to live life as a modern nomad, document the existence, and try to publish a book. I'm hoping to raise enough money to buy a used pickup truck and trailer. I envision the eventual goal of the book will be photo essay, diary, commentary, and philosophy: both a physical and mental journey. I have the very early stages of a website, The Autistic Nomad | An Experiment in Living for a disAbled Man

I have thought of crowd funding myself. I am a musician and would like to create music professionally. I believe that the old sales driven model of music is outmoded. Once software is released to the public it becomes a virtually worthless, non-rival good. Creativity, however, will always have it's value. Therefore, I would like to set up a Patrion account so that supporters can pledge money for every time I make a new release.
Now I just need to overcome my crippling anxiety and self doubt. One step at a time.
No apologies necessarySorry, I didn't check the dates. I thought you had recommenced.
Yeah, people can suck.
