Anxiety about tomorrow... [Transport methods]

I am supposed to go to a birthday of a girl friend of mine. I would definitely have no issue with going if it were on my own. I usually go on train to every place that I go to, because it soothes me, the rail sound and it makes me comfortable and unnervous.
However, the place where she is celebrating doesn't have any train reach, so I can't go on train. She told me that another person can get his car and drive me over there, which feels extremely bad for me because of my last experience with cars -where I had a breakdown-.

I don't know what to do. Help?

Not a great solution, but if it were me, I'd call and say I was sick. The reasoning behind it is that by the time I got there I'd be too overwhelmed and might not be able to handle the party. Which would be counterproductive.

How far is it? (I'd ride my bike up to 10-15 miles.)

I have had uncomfortable to bad experiences accepting rides from someone I didn't know, particularly when a party was the destination. Staying home would be my other option also. Maybe that's not the best option, depends on the friendship, but how much fun would you have?

It's around 40 miles, and it would be a paintball game.

How has your day gone up to yet Nacho?
How did it go for you Nacho?
I hope the ride to and from the paintball game, if you went, wasn't too bad for you.

I just got back from a long game; fortunately, the person who drove me over there and then got me home (recently) was an experienced person with cars. I expressed my worries and told him I have panic about cars, he told me that if I needed anything I should just tell him. So the rides were fine.

The game was extremely fun, and unfortunately when it was coming to an end I twisted my ankle a little bit; it didn't hurt at the time but when I was coming back it started to hurt. Now I am recovering with some ice at home.

In the overall, I don't regret going there, it was extremely fun and I ended up soaking wet because it was hot and paintball truly is some exercise :O

I got shot in the neck in a part that my helmet didn't protect and it bled a little, but it is no big deal! It hurts nothing now.

Here is a picture of me after the fight:

Thank you guys for your advice, On the Inside, kestrel; I decided to do it and I think it was a good idea.

However, I am positive I won't ride anymore on cars because it made me very very anxious on the night and I think it's easily avoidable if I arrange everything in time the next time.

Have a good day,
Nacho

I'm glad you had fun. Sorry abut your ankle, I've got a strained ankle right now too. Nothing liniment and rest won't fix in a few days though.
