Antisemitism at home

Yeshuasdaughter

You know, that one lady we met that one time.
V.I.P Member
For the second time this year, someone pried the mezuzah off my doorframe.

Both events happened on Shabbat during a Holy Jewish Festival.

This time, however, they stole the Torah scroll inside.

Are my daughter and I in danger? I'm getting scared.

Edit: I filled out a police report, and emailed my apt manager.

Have you given thought to mounting it on the inside of the doorframe, with the top tilted toward the door?

Being a gentile, I do not know the proper way of performing this mitzvot, so I do not mean to offend.

שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָה אֶחָד׃

So sorry to read this happened to you. l am so glad you filed a police report, and alerted your manager also.

Are you allowed to put a hidden security camera on the front door where you live?

I feel i should say something.

Allah also says: "Warfare has been prescribed for you, though it is repulsive to you. Yet it may be that you dislike something, which is good for you, and it may be that you love something, which is bad for you, and Allah knows and you do not know."

In Islam say: "Nothing will befall us except what is decreed by Allah".

^ I don't understand what you mean by this in relation to the context of YD's thread topic.

She's had something related to her religion stolen from the door of her own home. So, does your quote mean:

1) It's "good" for her that someone stole her property related to her religious faith (because she dislikes the fact that someone did this as, naturally anyone would)?

2) Her Jewish faith is "bad for her" because she loves her Jewish faith?

If neither of the above, can you share what YOU think your quote means in relation to YD's experiences she describes in this thread?

Stay on-topic

This is on topic. You posted a quote that was apparently germane to the topic. Otherwise, why would you have posted it in this thread?

I was confused by how your quote applies to YD's situation and I asked you to explain. If you choose not to explain, that's certainly your right. However, if you're not willing to clarify or explain your quote in more detail, then maybe you should delete the quote?

Maybe it is good that she "lose" and maybe it is not. God decides. I acknowledge Allah decides between us. I wouldn't fight Jews whom respect themselves.

Where do you get that idea from?

I'm quoting Allah, and say "we don't know". Everything starts from zero, from we don't know. Or?

Let's just focus that a long-time, highly valued member already has dealt with quite a lot of unfortunate events, and let us all do our best to support her and her daughter. Thank you members.
