Calgary Stampeders down 35 to 14 in the western semi-final game in the playoffs, 3 minutes left in the game... We've lost the game, there's no chance of making up that many points... I'm glum, this just sucks!

An embarrassing way to bow out of the playoffs, without a win... Even our neighbours to the north, Edmonton Eskimo's get to gloat over us because they won their game today...

:(

@ghostie @tducey Some Albertans on here?

I guess someone has to win, and there is more to life than sports, there have been threads in the forum all about that, the sports fixation... Which I only have a little of

I'm more of a baseball fan myself which is an unfortunate reason to find myself in this winter wonderland haha.

I'm not sure if they're televised haha.

I've kind of become a Blue Jays fan by default and there are rumblings in the MLB that an expansion might be coming which could potentially include a Vancouver team so that'd be cool too imo!

That's the trouble with really being into a sports team. When they lose, it really stings. But on the other hand, when they win it can be euphoric. My wife and I are big time fans of the Boise State Broncos football. We are a small town, NCAA football team that has gained national attention. I like all kinds of American style football, including NFL and CFL. I usually watch 3 or 4 CFL games every year. Next year I will pay more attention to the Stampeders because they are a western team. I also like western NFL teams.
