Advice on reliable portable generator?

Our stove is gas. We can light the range manually (if we had to), but its oven has minimal electrical controls. As such, it is not considered a significant load.
Ours is electric, but, during a blackout it isn't a concern 'cause I can cook over a fire just fine.

We also have an antique wood stove hooked up. It's mostly decorative, but, in an emergency, I can cook with it. I live in a wild forest, so wood is
everywhere :) .

@TBRS1, if you only need emergency heat, can get by without electricity and your home is small, NG/propane room heaters are way less expensive, like 25% (or less) of the cost of the smallest Generac. EXAMPLE

If you are far enough away from the Equator, you can put your perishables on your porch or in your garage during winter time.
