A Thread to discuss Brazilian Culture, in particular.....

I love the Brazilian song "Girl from Ipanema". It's a classic.

Brazilian plastic surgeries and body sculpting are something that many Americans are attuned to.

I still chuckle a bit watching Astrud Gilberto sing that song. As if while she was singing, she was mentally making her grocery list. Or just plain stoned.

A vocalist of an earlier era when "presence" wasn't required. Before "video killed the radio star".

I developed an interest through The girl from Ipanema. I researched the backstory of the song and that's what led me to research Brazilian culture, especially it's music and media.
