That's styled after the original releases of the Workbench GUI which was only available for the Commodore Amiga computers; the Atari XTs had a GUI called GEM which was also saw some use on the IBM campatible PCs of the era (it shipped with Amstrad's clones) but it looked a bit different.Here's a really cool tech site http://www.chiptune.com/, that's designed as a retro Atari desktop and behaves as such
