A question regarding the Finnish Language...

They didn't teach Quenya at my school unfortunately. Actually I m not sure if Tolkien had invented it when I was at school. I think he based it on Finnish didnt he? So maybe that would be a way to go with pronunciation?

Yeah he based it off of Finnish grammar, he described discovering the Finnish language as finding an old wine cellar full of luxury wines.
 
From what I understand, Tolkien tried to learn Finnish, but had too much trouble with it. I hadn't heard that Quenya was based on Finnish, but it doesn't surprise me.
