A poem for a friend.

Like a candle you may flicker,
Like a shelter you may drip;
Like a yo-yo you go up and down,
You yell "abandon ship!"

And when the world is black
and you don't know what to do;
Remember there are people there
who feel the same as you.

They may also flicker, and they may also drip;
They too are known occasionally to yell "abandon ship!"

But fear not, my love, for all is well,
I'll tell you something true;
We fight against your darkness,
Because that's what loved ones do.

So when your candle's going out and life is turning black;
We'll catch the sun, the stars and moon
to give you your light back.

And people call us emotionless???
I think if given the time and space, we are more compassionate than most other people...
I can be wrong, but this place shows a whole lot of caring...

Odd thing is out in the real world, I don't see lots of people who care at all.

Your poem is great by the way.

i wish i had a friend like you
