A love for noises?

If something loud is coming, I need to know beforehand so I can prepare for it. Otherwise, if gives me a lot of anxiety.

I'm exactly the same! Let's say I go to a concert (not that I ever do, but still), I will know beforehand that there will be lots of noise. Of course, it will be tough, but I'll be able to endure it. However, if I go into town and people suddenly start screaming and hooraying and clapping I will panic and get anxiety, as I don't know it beforehand and can't predict it. Not knowing is the worst thing for me, I can't handle it.

I do love listening to white/pink/brown noise when going to sleep, though. It is so relaxing. But I think that's pretty common?

While at the grocery store yesterday I was in the frozen food section. Someone slammed one of the freezer doors directly behind me. Felt like I was going to jump right out of my own skin and envisioning the management having to peel me off the ceiling. :screamcat:

Yeah I need the white noise before going to sleep, because of drowns out all of the intermittent noises from outside, or other things that might keep me awake. Usually I use a fan. I think that is fairly common though.

People making noise is the worst. When people yell, or are loud, it just drives me crazy. I've gone to see people graduate from school before and the people making noise around me and acting stupid was enough to almost give me a panic attack.
