A Clever Title Goes Here

SlytherinDixon

I'm still in love with Judas, baby.
Nice to meet everyone...
You can call me Dixon. I'm a seventeen year old female from Virginia, US. I am half Korean and half Russian/Irish mixed. I was diagnosed when I was 11 with Aspergers Syndrome. I was diagnosed late because I didn't really bother anyone and that was how my family liked it. It was only diagnosed when my Korean family insisted something was seriously wrong. So my mom took me to a doctor and we found out.
Let's see... What else? I have severe trouble coping with my obsessions, to the point they upset me and make me literally cry myself to sleep... My obsessions include The Walking Dead, Harry Potter, learning new languages, learning makeup techniques, and Doctor Who.
I joined this site in hopes of coping and better understanding my obsessions and the way people with Aspergers work. I'm gonna be in real society later this month and I really would like to be more social online before I am in the real world.

Welcome to the forums! :)
What languages do you know or are currently learning? That was an interest of mine for quiet some time.

On another note, I'm sure you will find some working coping techniques on the forums here and meet some people to consult with about it. If you haven't seen the section yet: Autism & Asperger's Resources | AspiesCentral.com is really useful for new members looking for information about AS.

Currently, I know Russian, Korean, basic Japanese, French and basic Gaelic.
Thanks, I'll look into that section in a moment. :)

Welcome :)

I'm sure you'll find this place to be helpful. Feel free to look around, join discussions, and ask questions. Also, I recommend visiting our resources section:
Autism & Asperger's Resources | AspiesCentral.com

I especially like to recommend this book to our female members:
Aspergirls: Empowering Females With Asperger Syndrome | AspiesCentral.com

*Edit: haha, you best me to it Sev!*

I'll for sure look into that Aspergirl book! I've heard about it. :)

Thanks for the kind welcomes!

Welcome! I hope you find the forum helpful, I'm sure you'll find people you can relate to on here. I'm also currently obsessed with Harry Potter, though it's fanfiction I devote my time to rather than the books

Welcome, Dixon. This is a good place to interact others. You'll get plenty of feedback for any questions you might have. Best wishes!
