4 YO having mini-seizures, Tonic-clonic?

Can anyone help, taking 2 or 3 a day, he tightens right up, shakes, but then he bites his tongue real hard, enough to make it bleed, seems like the pain from the tounge hurts so much, that it snaps him out of the seizure. He goes to sleep right away after it happens. This is worrying me, thanks

Thanks Myway, we haven’t yet as they are just recently starting to happen. It doesn’t last too long, 10 to 15 seconds but I think it doesn’t last that long because he bites his tongue so hard

Seizures are very tiring.
At least any that I had were.

I didn't realize the "tonic-clonic" meant the same as the older term, 'grand mal'.

My son also gets petite Mal seizures when he gets a high fever. We took him to the doc a few times for it, and they told us not to worry unless they are lasting for more than 5 minutes, (which can cause brain damage).

Yes , only when he has a high(ish) fever.
I hope things work out and your son starts feeling better. Seizures and tongue biting are no fun. For the person having them and also anyone witnessing them. Especially when you are the parent.

i heard hemp CBD oil stops seizures. look that up. But i agree you must talk to a dr to find out more

See a doctor before trying any home remedies, you need to let a professional figure out what causes the seizures.
