These candle sconces were a great find too, and everything in this photo is secondhand/thrifted!

    Enzo....."Golden Boy".....

Though he bears no resemblance to William Holden..:p.
One of those slow days where it feels a lot later than it is (a little past 10pm here.)

...And 24 hours later, same story. Although we played a hockey game today and won 3-1!
Rest of the day was boring, worked, and went to the library. But life is usually pretty much the status quo all the time living in the middle of nowhere. It's peaceful, at least.

That's beautiful, peaceful is a bonus. l did go to a tiny restaurant tonite, and we were so thankful for the family of chef's, and their two cute kids hanging out. We beat the Valentines crowd on Sat.

Tiny restaurants are always the best. We are regulars at our local diner.

Really nice that the chefs bring their kids to work!
Hi, not planning on staying for very long, just wanted to pop back in and say hi :) It's been two and a half years lol.
A lot has changed... I'm getting married on March 1st to my boyfriend, Pekka, who I bought a house with in November. We live way out in the countryside now. I still have Enzo. Most of my dogs have sadly passed on, or had to be rehomed because of life circumstances. We now have cats and farm animals.
Hey Luca! I see it’s your birthday today. Happy bday! I hope you have a fun time and make some awesome memories. :shortcake:

I'm glad Enzo is doing well. l met a neighbor with a collection of cats, love going over, and visiting her fur family. l am living with a guy currently.

Hey Luca, I hope you come back soon! We all love and miss you. I hope you are okay and return soon.

Maybe she is enjoying herself. She seemed most at peace with her new partner. So happy for her.

We will have to compose a little diety named Luca, build a little temple, and post dog pictures. :)

Lol yes I'm ok. Just went through a LOT of changes and a lot of growing up in the last few years of my life, and don't even feel like the same person anymore.
Thank you everyone for reaching out. I've missed you guys and hardly stopped thinking about any of you <3
Definitely going to go back to the dark brown hair. Blonde ombre does make me look more sophisticated, but I'm not ready to look (or feel) like a grownup yet. I know I complain all the time about people thinking I'm a teenager, but the old "you don't know what you've got until it's gone" adage applies here.
I spent most of yesterday in bed not feeling well, so today is going to have to be productive. I'm always in over my head and overwhelmed with tasks. People have told me that I don't know how to relax and stop overworking myself, and that's probably true. It's hard to unlearn it though when you were raised by overbearing, perfectionist parents in a society that values productivity and work ethic.
Finally caught up on private messages. Better late than never, I guess, but I'm sorry for not getting back to everyone right away. I'm not feeling great today either but at least I had time to sit down and reply. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, but sometimes I'm really burned out after making a thread or writing a long post and a pile of messages is daunting lol
Interesting how much more mature I look with different hair, glasses, and clothes. I’m no longer a “young” adult, whether I like it or not…

What? Omg. No. You are you. Don't let clothes determine who you are. Because of you, l totally changed my look. I am wearing a Wednesday wig, and a cute romper. Just because. When we don't want to have fun anymore, then we should just move to retirement home. :)

I can hear that there is something kind of big walking around on my roof right now, and it's freaking me out. It's most likely a large bird or a raccoon, but it's still very early in the morning and very dark outside so my imagination is filling in the blanks.

I have always loved vultures. I hate that people think they're creepy. I love "creepycute" creatures, like vultures, black cats, stag beetles, and bats.

Here in Jefferson we have the red headed type vultures that most city people think about when they think of a vulture. A hawk looking bird. The small wildlife around here is constantly getting squashed by cars-even the deer tend to meet untimely fates-so the local buzzards are always well fed.

I just noticed the big dog on the beer stein. ( and little dogs)

It's not a functional beer stein lol, I use it as a seasonal decoration and it's from a thrift store. Goes nicely with the fall decor though

The food looks so much less appetizing in the picture than it actually was  It was pulled pork, bacon, mac n cheese, and collard greens.
The poorly behaved, 150lb dog I was walking just got spooked, ran, and pulled me all the way down the street screaming at him to stop.
Sometimes I think I don’t get paid enough.

Reminds me of my cousin's Blue Heeler. We're both convinced that her prior owner did absolutely nothing to train her. Which probably led to them abandoning her on the street for animal control to find her.

It's been quite an uphill battle, but my cousin seems to be slowly succeeding.

Glad you are OK. I had to quit riding-lessons at the barn because, among one reason, the untrained dog that was allowed to run up growling & snapping at me while the owner just said "she's weird about guys." Well lady I am weird about dogs. Some people absolutely do not train their animals.

i admit i should've trained my dog more than i did. but that's cause he was 7 pounds so he didn't tug, it was super easy to hold him back or pick him up. i love big dogs so much and there's a reason i didn't get one for myself.
