  • Won our last regular season game tonight 6-2. We have essentially been undefeated since December. To the playoffs we go!

Of course, this is rec league, so it's not like it's a huge deal :P
    To me it is, though.

Thank you! Hoping there's a lot more where that came from.
I always crack up at those videos that are like “my husband takes hideous photos of me” (with examples), and meanwhile mine takes ones like this... and then makes them the wallpaper on his phone

The picture of you with the fries is such a good photo of you! I wanted to do a heart react, but for some reason the forum is having trouble bringing up the emoticons panel and I can only click 'like' at times like this.

A question we get asked often about our house/where we live: "Do you get scared at night?"
    ...Yes 😅

Wolves, coyotes and foxes. I love hearing them late at night. "Children of the night". ;)

We saw a coywolf the other day (coyote/wolf hybrid) that looked like this. 100 feet away from us sitting on our pond. Gorgeous animal but we were cautious and didn't interact. Thought it was a gray wolf!

^This photo is from Google, if we weren't so worried about a potential interaction with our very frightened dog, I would've taken a photo.
Over 30 inches of snow here, 3 feet in some places. 400+ cars stranded on highways. I hope everyone gets home safe :(
This weather is unbelievable. The last time it was this bad here, I was 21 years old, in college, stranded in my dorm room for a week surviving on instant coffee and microwave mac & cheese.
New England weather is no joke.

I can't wait for spring either. This is the winter from hell. Now I'm regretting complaining about the 90 degree summers...

Pretty scary weather from seeing New England on the news...stay warm! And don't let the geese bite! ;)

We thought we were out of the woods until we just saw in the weather report tonight- 85% chance of snow tomorrow.
The geese are happy, at least!
    Yikes.
Shoveled out our entire driveway, front walk, and most of the yard, though. At least now the dog can get out.
Rest of the property will have to be done with the snow blower.

Yeah. Shoveling snow is a rough one when you got alot. Glad that has come and gone for me.

Hopefully you live somewhere with less snow now. This winter has been such a nightmare. Getting a snow blower has helped us a little bit, though.
Insane snowstorm here… again. Opened the front door to let the dog out and a 4 foot snow drift almost fell in. Looks like we’re stuck here until the roads get plowed, which could be days from now.
Guess who is extremely happy with his fancy new Keurig, which I insisted was a frivolous purchase lol

My daughter gave me one for Christmas. Now, I drink fresh coffee all day long.

To an Aussie there's nothing "frivolous" about coffee. :)

I'll not deny K-Cups are pretty convenient and easy. But I still enjoy brewing traditional coffee grounds. Straight black coffee is the way to go IMO.
My happy place. Just back in from working outside in the cold, and curled up under a blanket in front of our “fireplace”

@Judge Your place looks awesome!! So clean and so much natural light! And love the art. Many of the picture on our wall are just of us playing hockey lol

Natural light? That's just snow. Melting off, making my living room darker than this. ;)
My sleep hasn't been the best because we're getting married a week from Sunday and I'm a little overwhelmed. So if you see me on here at odd hours that's why (I also get up at the crack of dawn for work, which I'm about to get ready for.) There is nothing bad in any way about us getting married, I'm extremely excited, I'm just an anxious person and want the wedding to be perfect.

I had issues at my wedding, but you realize it's really happening and it's a big step in life, so you will get thru this.
We weren’t sure what to do with this little corner since we moved in, but I think it’s come together nicely.
Everything except for the appliances is secondhand :) We are big secondhand/antique collectors, because who needs everything new and full price?

I love your cabinets. Looks very sharp. I want a coffee corner in my next home. I just notice the subway tiles now. Love the look.

We love the cabinets too. Our old house just had white ones. We always wanted brown!
We have a very tiny independent thrift store down the street from us, and we checked it out for the first time today and it was awesome!! Got some housewares, jewelry, a jacket, and Pekka got a keychain that has one of his favorite sayings, "It is what it is," for only $1. Everything was on sale so in total we only spent $35. Really unique store that has different things than you'd find at a Savers or a Goodwill.
Just went for a hike and we both feel so much better. Now headed to explore a library. We’re still relatively new to the area (moved out here in November) and haven’t explored everything yet.

Pekka (my partner) and I have realized that we have too much of a routine. Everything is like Groundhog Day. We need to change it up a little and get out of the house more. We don't go anywhere, other than work, the rink, errands. We've gotten a little too comfortable doing nothing. Being married doesn't have to be boring.

Yes, you can find many things to do, and there are even activities that you can do that don't cost a lot, but which can be more fun than being at home. :)
My dog is lucky he's cute, because his farts could strip paint off a wall. This is partially how he got one of his many nicknames, "Mr. Poopybutt"
    Lou Laurinen
    Lou Laurinen
    Lol. Same with Enzo.

We call one of our cats “Princess Poo” for the same reason… and because she drops Godzilla sized craps in the litter box.

I swear we are functioning adults :p

I thought the Geneva Convention outlawed the use of gas warfare.
Being a (ice hockey) goalie, I think of something completely different when I watch makeup tutorial videos, and they say to put the eye shadow in your "crease," lol. (It's not an innuendo, it's an actual term for the goalie's designated zone on the ice.) But now I can't hear that in makeup videos without thinking "Stay out of my crease!"

I like watching make up videos a lot, if i were to play hockey i would prob. have the opposite problem lol
Getting married in two weeks, and the nerves are starting to kick in. Nothing to do with the relationship, just the pre-wedding jitters that I think everyone gets. It's a big step. Not that anything will be different at all between us, it's really just signing a silly document. Just somehow feels more tangible and real now, and a little anxiety-inducing. But change is hard for most of us, even good change.

@Jonn Nope, no kids for us. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago, and neither of us want kids.
