  • I have a winning Powerball ticket! So what if I only won $4? It’s double what I put into it so I am content.

Sounds familiar. My luck is about the same most of the time!

Still better odds 6 1/2 years trying here day one than every getting a SO or platonic female friend.

    Congratulations
I was standing at a bus stop in front of a house, in super hot weather. The woman in the house came out and offered me a nice cold bottle of water. Sometimes saints appear out of nowhere. I thanked her for that.

That's so nice. This scene that I saw recently is nice, too:

I think I just had a seizure a couple of hours ago. I am worried about my health. Yet I can’t take any more time off work, so I decided not to go to the ER.

Not going to the ER when you need to though could end up doing much worse than just taking time off.
It hurts to know I would be worth a lot more to my blood family if I were dead instead of alive.

    I completely get that.

All of my blood family who hated me (and my father, and my parents getting married in the first place) have long since died. Living well is the best revenge.
I wish I could sip Cristal when I’m thirsty, just like a gangsta rapper. But if I had that kind of money, I probably would not waste it like that.
I wish I had an active sex life today. But I am not thirsty enough to go for cheap hookups and one night stands.

Do you have any of the newer Xbox consoles?

Ground beef has become a luxury item at the grocery store now due to how damn expensive it has become.

I just bought two pounds of it today...using Medicare while it still exists.

    $7 a pound for 85/15 ground beef. :(

Actually eating has become a luxury item. :(

Part of my change in diet is just that. To cut back on portions based on cost. With ground beef I never use more than a quarter pound at a time. And having had my annual checkup I am down nine pounds from last year.

Now at nearly the same weight I was as a senior in high school. Though I'm not complaining about that at all.
I hate knowing that I am the designated retard in my blood family. I know I should let it go and let them go, but the reality is that knowing that really hurts me.

The hurt is real. It’s good to acknowledge the hurt and continue working to get to a place where they can no longer hurt you.
It’s too hot outside, so warm that I do not want any alcohol to dehydrate me any more.

    Water is your friend.
Tap water is tasty in my house, so I guess I lucked out in that regard.

I drink tap water almost exclusively. New York City has good water.

You did indeed! The hard water here out of the tap is drinkable, but in a few minutes just standing at room temperature, not so much. So I keep a pitcher of water in the fridge. I drink a lot more water now than anything else.

Beware...the older you get the more you have to consider a possibility of diminished hand-eye coordination. Something I've run into after a hiatus of computer gaming on my old "legacy" computer still running Windows XP.

I wish tacos and pepperoni pizza did not cause gerd flare ups. I wish curry was a gerd safe food.

@Judge my roomie loves fast food, he is on vaca, so l am enjoying healthy options, lentil burgers, egg wraps, protein powder smoothies, way easier on my digestive track. Maybe l have a sensitive system, part of autism? Since so many of us just prefer one specific meal and we can eat it over and over?

I wish anything you didn't have to cook was GERD-safe... seriously, why does it have to be fatty AND sugary AND spicy foods?

Good question. Over the years I've come to believe that a major difference between restaurant food and fast food is relative to fat content and whether a food is primarily processed or quite fresh. Processed meat or chicken in particular seems far less harmful to me than that which is drenched in fat to enhance flavor. Though I don't make it a habit to eat fast food all the time either.
