    Loudness is a cultural norm and it can be a drug. The more you're exposed to it the more you acclimatise. Ie: the 'loudness war' in media, loud concerts, nightclubs, fireworks, sporting events, industrial noise, busy cities etc. loudness is everywhere.

    Men like noisy things that go bang, it makes them happy and lowers cortisol levels. Men enjoy the thrill of spectating an F1 race, or attending an airshow, it doesnt have to be pathological

    Interestingly, heavy metal guitar mimics the violent death throes of a wounded prey animal, arousing the kill instinct of the hunter.

    A lot of this is hardwired, with some cultural conditioning.

    Yes I think it's mostly men competing with other men, thinking this is what will get them attention. It doesn't really matter if that's not what women are attracted to.

    Thank you for the recommendation @MildredHubble! I absolutely love discovering new music

    I know AI has its dangers but I also cannot deny that the song I heard was pretty good, as music lover I prefer being biased and give everything a fair judgement

    I actually doubt it's music made by AI it's kinda too good

    I find AI interesting from a purely technical point of view, but I don't like what it's being used for. AI music is just atomizing human beings creations and gluing them together without proper attribution. Its like "wow that's cool" but I kinda want to vomit when I understand how "the sausage is made". On the other hand "Riding With the King" is a real hidden gem!

    40C is more like a fever temp than weather.

    I've come to the realization that I get anxiety attacks, I never knew what they were before when I felt them but I THINK that's what they are.

    That will help me manage them a little better (I hope)

    That was sort of how I felt just before everything went black, and then I woke up on the ground. Often injured from the fall. And you're dead right, knowing what was happening would have saved me a lot of trauma.

    I also get leg tics when I have them, like, I start moving my leg a lot, and sometimes I don't even realize it

    Ever since I got social housing and my life is no longer dependent on the whims of others I've had no problems. Over 5 years now.

    Well, I'm quite a bit further north of the equator than you are. Where we have four distinct seasons. Though summer has always been my favorite. However the older I get, the tougher things to get in terms of the extremes of summer and winter. Being retired, I just make a point of not having to drive in the snow. Period!

    Me too. Sure enjoyed the ones I had from Del Taco. I think I'll make my own this time around. This time with some Pico Pica Hot Sauce.

    Never can get enough tacos in a single week. :p

    It's a weird thing at the moment. From a food service industry perspective, Del Taco is ranked much better than Taco Bell. (Del Taco seems to use more moderate amounts of chili powder). Their tacos were certainly better. Though right now the fast food industry as a whole seems to be having financial difficulties.
