    Well, I'm quite a bit further north of the equator than you are. Where we have four distinct seasons. Though summer has always been my favorite. However the older I get, the tougher things to get in terms of the extremes of summer and winter. Being retired, I just make a point of not having to drive in the snow. Period!

    Me too. Sure enjoyed the ones I had from Del Taco. I think I'll make my own this time around. This time with some Pico Pica Hot Sauce.

    It's a weird thing at the moment. From a food service industry perspective, Del Taco is ranked much better than Taco Bell. (Del Taco seems to use more moderate amounts of chili powder). Their tacos were certainly better. Though right now the fast food industry as a whole seems to be having financial difficulties.

    The brown and white ones are called "conchas" (or shells in English)

    The cookie is called a polvorón which idk what it translates to... It's basically a cookie that leaves a lot of crumbs when you bite into it

    I haven't had conchas in a long time. There is a baked goods shop, where I lived on my own, that made them. I recall my roommate introducing me to them. They are really good.

    Every day is laundry day here unless we have a power outage or something. We wash what was used the day before.

    I have to get to the laundromat in Yreka when it first opens if I have to do laundry. After 90min or so people start arriving, like the Hmong weed planters who always have garbage bags full of laundry. I've seen planters show up with the entire back seat of their car stuffed full of laundry. So yeah, do it and get out.
