    I think having a kitten is like having an incredibly energetic toddler. Its like being at the park and trying to sit down and read while they play and shout "Mummy look! I can run really fast", " I can jump really high" Then they shout "Mummy! Look how high I can climb! I can fly!" and you say "That's nice dear..." Before you realize they have climbed to the very tippy top of a tall tree! 😯

    I finally got Android to run on my Switch Lite! Still much to figure out but this is South of Midnight running through XBox cloud streaming! :-)

    Treacle kitten seems to be figuring out now that cuddles and ear rubs can't follow him/her around when they walk away 😸 I do my best but I can't be a mobile ear rub machine, its difficult to fit under the bed for one thing! 😸

    I need to fix this insomnia 😞 I got bored and started scrolling through vinted and bought a VCR. It was super cheap and I'm sure I will have fun with it. But I probably shouldn't have. Now please someone take my internet away before I buy that special edition Alien Romulus VHS tape! 😳

    I feel like I should comment on VCRs being obsolete but I still have a passion for overhauling windup gramophones. You're fine--Just hook up your new machine to a cool old CRT monitor and have fun!

    You read my mind @Gerontius! 😸 The cool thing is that there is a thrift store nearby that always has a few VHS tapes for cheap, I think they had some Star Trek ones last time so I should have plenty to watch! 😸

    Well this is interesting. Treacle appears to be developing a very visible tabby pattern on his fur. Of course I know the stripes are present on most cats, but this is very obvious even in dim light, though ive not been able to capture it on my phone camera. He may be a relatively rare black tabby from what ive read online :-)

    Ok I managed to get a picture when Treacle finally was still :-) These stripes were there earlier but were dramatically less visible. In direct sunlight they look like a tabby! Its so fascinating! :-)

    Treacle Kitten is so full of energy! I can hardly keep up 😸 It's ok though as after many chases and jumps Treacle enjoys a nice rest and a cuddle and a snooze :-)

    That's very true! @FayetheAspie :-) Treacle is only just shy of 3 months old so they are the youngest kitten I've had, at least since I was much younger. I think Treacle is starting to have a few more moments where they like to cuddle so that's good. I was worried that maybe they were not going to enjoy being petted like my other cats did. But all seems well :-)

    Last night I managed to modify my Switch Lite with a PicoFly chip. It has been mostly sitting in a box not doing much since I got my full sized Switch. Hopefully I can do some fun things with it now. I might get a bigger SD card so I can boot into Android and then I can stream Xbox games to it 😺

    I didnt even know there was a Switch Lite. What's the difference?

    The Switch Lite doesn't have removable JoyCons, the screen is smaller and you can't dock it to your TV. They kinda released it as a replacement for the 3DS/2DS. It's ok, but some games are difficult to play on the smaller screen, at least in my opinion.

    Yay! My (umm) "Lego" Ghostbusters Fire House arrived a little while ago! Soooo much "Lego" its like a double sized shopping bag stuffed full. My phone camera struggled to capture it well for some reason but what a great bargain! It will keep me busy for quite some time! 😸

    Just gave Treacle his first catnip! I thought it would slow him down for a bit but it caused instant Zoomies! Looking at the packaging the cat does look like its quite excited lol! Should have paid more attention to that! 😸

    Tux cats are my absolute favorite. They can be incredibly smart. When l was doing whatever in the bathroom, my tux would jump in tub to imitate me. He also turned off light switches.

    He is very smart (or possibly she) :-) I was sending my girlfriend a message yesterday and he was watching me tap the phone intensely, then he stood up and bopped the phone with his paw and sent my girlfriend a heart emoji! 😸

    Well my kitten is all healthy and they've had their jabs. It turns out that Treacle may actually be a girl cat. The vet said it was difficult to tell. Same thing happened with Dakota. We thought he was a girl cat but turned out he was a boy cat 😸 I don't mind either way of course 😺

    My kitten (Treacle) has taken to unplugging the magsafe charger from my MacBook Air 😸 I would get annoyed but he's just too cute! 😸

    That's good advice @Gerontius :-) I'm lucky he doesn't seem interested in biting the cables. He likes to bat them around. Laptop chargers definitely produce enough current they can cause a shock. USB used to be less of a worry but with Power Delivery they are also a risk these days. Fortunately when it comes to cats safety, I'm basically in a mild state of panic constantly so it keeps me sharp 😸

    Argh! That's enough Amazon for one lifetime. They make communication with customer service virtually impossible. And I never liked their attitude towards their employees. 😾 I will need to de-Amazon my Fire tablet too. Hopefully there's some guides online.

    They certainly don't make things easy @FayetheAspie I felt like I was going round in circles and after an hour of that my patience was definitely wearing thin. I finally got my refund but it was a gift card so I have to spend it there lol! I'm going to get something appropriate like headache meds! 😸

    Well I'm going to see some kittens tomorrow :-) I may adopt one. I miss my cat of course, but I think I need a cat in my life again and maybe my cat wouldn't want me to feel like I was being disloyal to him :-) Fingers crossed I will return home tomorrow with a healthy, happy kitten :-)

    Some states swear that it's keeping the roads safer, my state reckons it's just a money making rort. Police here can and will pull you over if they think your car looks unroadworthy, bald tyres, lights or indicators not working, etc. They can defect your car and put it off the road until you get it fixed.

    Good question. These policies have been in place for more than 40 years now so there should be enough data, but where you'd find that I have no idea. SA has no roadworthy checking. Vic requires a full check at every vehicle transfer of ownership but no checking after that. The Northern Territory has mandatory checks every year. I'm not sure about other states.

    I suppose technically its not an "instant" photo in the usual sense as you take photos and then choose which ones you want to develop. Kinda like a Polaroid with training wheels :-)
