I'm so sorry. I lost a cat to cancer a few years ago myself.😭 Is there anything they can do to attempt to save him?

What a sweet baby. I hope he can get better and the steroids will help. Hugs and best wishes.

This is distressing news. No one, including cats, deserve the hell of cancer, tumors, and the like. Hopefully things get better.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. @FayetheAspie the vet didn't feel that chemotherapy would lead to a good outcome. My cat is 18 (well in a couple of months) which they said is about 100 if he had been a human. It would likely be too stressful for him. The steroids might shrink the tumor and make him feel better but it could be for weeks, it's hard to predict. I'm hoping he breaks records...

...he's regained some appetite and is drinking a good amount again. Hopefully this is just the beginning and he feels much better soon. Right now he's still a bit exhausted from his visit to the hospital. He really gets stressed by being on his own and in strange places, especially if he's being poked and prodded. I love him so much. I'm so glad he's home now.

So very sorry to hear. It's sad when our pets start getting old and ill. Just keep giving him lots of love. x

Poor kitty. 18 is a very long life for a cat; it's a sign you have been taking exceptional care of him. I hope he and you get plenty of rest.
