    I feel like injecting caffeine directly into my bloodstream to wake myself up today.

    energy-drink and coffee has an instant effect. I drink an energy-drink before exams or job interviews to be instantly awake and concentrated, because tea is too slowly for that. but when I´m overtired, then nothing really helps. caffeine can´t really compensate missing sleep.

    That's one movie? It sounds horrendous when they list all that stuff like that and use the word "severe". Severe smoking. Wow. That's rough. :)

    In case you couldn’t tell, I am having a rough evening. Sobriety is at risk. I am staying home to stay safe. I hate my life has come to this.

    I saw non-alcoholic IPAs at my local grocery store. I wonder if I should try them, or if that would be too slippery of a slope.

    My understanding of those is they still have a very, very tiny amount of alcohol in them (something like 0.5%), so check the label and then decide for yourself.

    It must be like decafe coffee. It has a little bit of caffeine. I tried Heineken non-alcoholic, it was so good. Shocking. Very smooth.

    It's a personal decision. If you have problems with addiction then you have to be honest with yourself. Only you know the answer to that.

    How have you been feeling? More mellow?

    I have been feeling more mellow recently. And I do have a problem with alcohol addiction, so I probably should avoid even the non-alcoholic beers because it may make me want to go for the real thing eventually. I do love the taste of a great IPA, though.

    So I thought my boss had approved me leaving half an hour early today, but apparently she forgot about that and I got a strict talking to over the phone. Hell.

    i had the same thing happen to me a few days ago, took a half day for a doctor's appointment and got written up for it. :unamused:

    Too many trashy people on the bus home from work right now. I have to turn the volume way up on my headphones to drown out their trashy profane shouting chatter.

    I have my iPhone back, and it is in the same condition it was when I lost it, outside of having a lot less battery charge on it. Shall I celebrate by blasting Dr Dre at my office?

    I'm amazed that it's possible to lose a phone on a bus and actually get it back. No one stole it. My faith in mankind is slightly higher than it was before.

    my old phone (2021 model, was my new phone) is probably still in an crevice in some mountain. when my current old iphone "dies", then I will buy the same model again lol.

    Shaddock, your phone is in a crevice in a mountain? In the future, archeologists will carefully dig through layers of phones and put them in museums, like dinosaur bones. :)
