    My mother did something clever, when I was very young she somehow made me think that washing dishes, cleaning and vacuuming was fun. So when she was doing that, I came running and said "oh please, can I do that? Please!". Genius. :)

    I did the same when my daughter was small. I when it was time for homeschool, I'd tell her it was time to play her "learning games", and when it was time for chores, I'd sing "Clean up! Clean up! Everybody everywhere! Clean up! Clean up! Everybody do your share!" It really helped.
    No one warns you about how often you will say "Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey" to yourself as an adult.
