    River sing to me

    The currents within the currents

    Churn and drive always forward

    Intent and isolation

Take the words I don't know how to say

    Take them far away

    Ever moving and cold

    River

    Sing to me

Every woman in a wheelchair is there because secretly, she is a mermaid.

I saw this blonde woman in a wheelchair, she was actually quite pretty, slim, I felt sorry for her...mild curiosity; "was she paraplegic?"... "was she born that way,".... at no point did I think: "is she a mermaid?"

My mother did something clever, when I was very young she somehow made me think that washing dishes, cleaning and vacuuming was fun. So when she was doing that, I came running and said "oh please, can I do that? Please!". Genius. :)

I did the same when my daughter was small. I when it was time for homeschool, I'd tell her it was time to play her "learning games", and when it was time for chores, I'd sing "Clean up! Clean up! Everybody everywhere! Clean up! Clean up! Everybody do your share!" It really helped.
You know what feels good to hear? My daughter just cuddled up and told me: "I should deposit you in the bank, because you're priceless."
The tree outside my window has fuchsia leaves, and the other tree is amber and gold. Time for warm pumpkin spice in the misty rain!
