Why some (unhappy) people don't follow advice

A lot of advice that people give is really not helpful. I've followed peoples advice in years past and most of the time it doesn't produce the desired results. Good advice is very difficult to find. Even when you pay for it! A lot of advice is just the same old **** I've already tried before and...

Rejection and the art of coping

That's probably the way that most people cope with it. I have a circle of friends but ATM I do not really have a broad-based social network whatsoever. And right now many of my friends are busy and/or being distant. It's also that time of year.

    Meeting women with asperger's syndrome

My best pals happen to be people who not only share some interests, but also share life experiences. They don't necessarily like the same activities as I do though. Aspie support groups are a great way to meet fellow Aspies. But why must they be offline only? I think meeting people at a...

    Meeting women with asperger's syndrome

For me personally, meeting people the "old fashioned" way IRL through similar interests and hobbies hasn't actually worked that well. I have found that I tend to form stronger bonds with people who share life experiences; even if they don't have the same hobbies or intellectual interests. I've...

    Harro

I'm Zeno. Not my real name but whatevs. Needless to say, I am 38, got my diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome in 1991 at the age of 12. The first diagnosis given to me was PDD-NOS back in 1982 when I was 3 years old. Mind you, I also have ADHD and perhaps some kind of mood disorder.
