a job where you can travel a lot?

Only worked in the old days when you could make money at it. I have a lot of pro photographer friends who are amazing and get zero work.

I connect with socially awkward girl's.

My wife and I are not equals. She is much smarter than I. I am just clever enough to get myself in trouble. She is the one who gets me out of it.

I connect with socially awkward girl's.

So you have never heard the phrase "crazy cat lady" before I am guessing?

I connect with socially awkward girl's.

That was unkind. Tony has been working hard, has had some successes, and deserves to have them acknowledged and celebrated. To @Tony Ramirez I married a socially awkward girl almost a quarter century ago. We've had some fun adventures and a wonderful daughter together. Best decision of my life.

    World Spinning Weirdly

I voted in our national election earlier this week. I have kept abreast of the news as best I could in the hope of casting a somewhat informed vote. I find the current situation very stressful, but I'm trying to do those things I can in a day to make my part of the world better without getting...

my parents dont believe in me

Speaking as someone who is diagnosed with schizophrenia in addition to autism, I can tell you that you're exeriencing classic delusional thinking. This is a common feature of several mental illnesses and usually gets worse without treatment. I strongly suggest sharing this with doctors or...

    The overlooked faces of Autism

I don't understand why having autism requires me to speak on behalf of others with autism. I don't go around advocating for others with diabetes or congenital heart defects. I do advocate on behalf of those with schizophrenia, but that is because the stigma is especially severe for that illness...

Advantages and Disadvantages of having Autism

Everything is patterns to me. Separate patterns, interlocking patterns, layered patterns... Trying to describe what I see to people who do not perceive the way I do feels like trying to describe colour to someone born blind.

Advantages and Disadvantages of having Autism

I like how I think and feel and how I relate to the world. I like the professional advantage that my hyper-focus gives me over NTs in my industry (insurance). I wish that there were more people who were like me, because having to interact with NTs is something I can do, but can be tiresome. The...

    Odd question from another autistic

All I can tell you is that it is as prevalent as diabetes on my mom's side of the family. My mom had it worse than me, which made being her kid ... interesting.

What I can’t stand about the Autism Community.

I have other things I'd rather being doing with my time like using a camera, hiking, or paddling my board across a lake. Good for you if you enjoy autism advocacy, but you have no business telling me how to live my own life.
