    CBT experiences

I prefer being functional. I'm not fussy about what road gets me there. The books have been faster than working with people so far. It helps when you're not limited to an hour or two a month.

    Selective mutism: help please

I'm often laconic to the point of making people uncomfortable. I just know that I can't insert a foot into a mouth that is not open.

    Selective mutism: help please

Have you tried doing it when their mouth is telling you one thing and their body is telling you the exact opposite and you're one of those people who has trouble not being bluntly honest?

    Selective mutism: help please

Everything. If I have to maintain eye contact I see their body language and then I can see all their microexpressions, one-shoulder shrugs, etc.

    Selective mutism: help please

I can, mostly. It is so draining. Why is it almost physically painful? And distracting. I notice too many things and it derails my train of thought.

List just one thing you did today

Made some good progress on the photo blog software today. Definitely leveling up the java skills. Felt good to flex the brain muscles.

    CBT experiences

I use CBT, DBT, and ACT together. Very helpful and I credit them with helping me handle stress better and increasing my level of function overall. I tend to do workbooks, own over 100 now. I photograph (or screenshot) the exercises and keep them in a binder so I can do them over and over. I do...

    BBC allowed to charge licence

It isn't even a well-defined spectrum. ASD1 says I need minmal supports. I need zero supports. If anyone needs a support it's the ND who is competing with me for a job I want. I regard the DSM as more of a billing manual than anything else.

    Tresorit Password Problems

It means they take your security seriously, but they also expect you to take your own security seriously and have failsafes in place. Condolences @WhitewaterWoman.

Don't Be Shy To Introduce Yourself

Oooof. Fellow Canuck here. I can see how that would be hard on your sensibilities between the heat and the cultural differences. Condolences.

    I don´t fit in anywhere

Greetings from a d00fy 57-year-old male in Western Canada. I can relate to this - for my entire life I have been a fork tucked away in the spoon drawer. I'm okay with it now and even make it work for me, but youth was a struggle for sure (as it is for all, really, just different issues for...

    Should I quit?

One of my mates used to work for a company writing help systems for software. Replaced by AI. Fact. AI is improving that quickly.

Do I have autism and bipolar disorder?

I'm careful not to offer opinions when I am aware they have no value to them.
