Wordle type puzzles
Doubling a letter that appears as yellow is often useful. The 'L' didn't go in the first , third, fourth, or fifth position, so that only left one place for it to go. Second. Word could have been 'slide' I see now. But I didn't think of that at the time.- tree

Since 'teach' would have used the letter 'a' in the same place as 'orate' which didn't work, I tried 'cheat.' Then it became apparent that the first letter was probably 'w.'- tree
