    Children's first teeth

Has anyone every heard of a child on the spectrum can have their first teeth come in with very bad tooth decay? Mostly their baby teeth. This was a discussion I had with a friend who has a child on the spectrum and they have very bad enamel problems and decay, even though they as parents have...

Finally went in for an official diagnosis.

I am hesitant. The reason is, 10yrs ago a doctor put me on adderall and it amplified all of my symptoms, especially my panic attacks. So now I worry.

Their office was great and very thorough. My question for you all is this..... He recommends getting my ADHD under...

Finally went in for an official diagnosis.

I am thinking you and GadAbout are right that they had enough of what they needed. They were just so thorough and the entire assessment took 5.5hrs. It would be hard for me to think of it as an oversight. It is just my wondering and ever uncertain mind wants reassurance that they do not come...

Finally went in for an official diagnosis.

So, I finally went in for an official diagnosis at psychologist in my area. When I was 5yrs old it was suggested by doctors the I was autistic but my parents shrugged it off. I set my appointment up over the phone. While on the phone, the lady I spoke with said that the doctor would want to...

    Autism after 40.

I blend well for maybe 10 minutes and then I have to walk away. I think now that I am older I notice my actions more accurately than in my adolescence, so this make me doubt myself more now. When I was younger I just thought I was really good at it because I was not able to real people as well...

    That is a great analogy!

    Autism after 40.

This is very similar to what I am describing. The minute I stopped practicing, I lost all that I had learned or it just became harder to grasp everything socially. And now that I am older, I do not feel like putting the effort into it.

How do people normally handle burnouts? I mask every day....the best I can but I am sure it's still noticeable.

I think your point about having the energy to deal is a good point. I really have no energy, I would say over the past 2yrs.

    Autism after 40.

Does dealing with NT people and socializing get harder for people on the spectrum after they turn 40? I myself am having a very hard time dealing with people and faking conversations. Just curious if it is just me or if it is common thing. I could give more detail but maybe that is enough to get...
