Why do some girls hardly initiate?

Thank you for your interpretations, but none of those are what I am saying, nor what I am trying to convey. I'm glad that you found people with whom you've had great relationships and who were able to help you. It would never occur to me that you didn't (or don't) deserve a relationship...

Why do some girls hardly initiate?

Without self-acceptance and kindness for yourself, you won't be able to let others into your life and they won't be able to enter. For me, being troubled by a chain of disappointments, it's kinda hard to break through that traumatic pattern, to get out off my head, and into my body, actually...

Why do some girls hardly initiate?

The difficult thing about love/relationships is that thinking often doesn't help you.

Concerned about boyfriend and need some advice

This is just my experience, but a diagnosis offers a framework. And this is also just my experience, but frameworks make things easier and clearer. I need reference points and leads to make sense of things, contexts, etc., and even though I've managed to go on for thirteen years without...

How to Talk to my Mum Alone

Rationality tells you: just ask it, but I can totally understand (on a more emotional level?) why this can be difficult. Still, you have to ask her.

    Feeling like you're "trapped."

This is something so tragic about NT-Aspie-interaction/relationships. And it is also what bothers me about many of the websites/books/information on autism in general; in most cases, they are written from a NT-perspective, but NT's aren't aware of the existence of the NT-perspective. The fish...

    Do you self teach?

I'm a teacher myself and this is exactly how it works for me. And most of the descriptions of how you all learn, are exactly what I usually do and need. I can't learn without understanding the why's or function behind something. I hate it when people are not clear about what is expected when...

Concerned about boyfriend and need some advice

For what it's worth: it was like I read a description of myself.

Did masking take away my past

A lot of this is familiar to me. I've been thinking a lot about my childhood. Some of the decisions my parents made were probably with good intentions, but I'm not sure if they improved things for me. I wonder if they enabled me to deal with my restrictions in such a way that I could develop...

    Questions asking for advice...

Then I suppose I'm not the only All-or-Nothing-kind of person in here.

Happy to have found my people

I'm getting the impression I'm the only one around here who isn't a cat-person.

    Questions asking for advice...

Thank you for writing what I could've written. Also: I tend to analyze, in a pretty clinical way, but people don't (always) like that. It's simply how my mind works.

    My Drawings :)

The last one is my favorite. For some reason, the figure makes me think of what emotions are to me: intense and imminently vague.

    Questions asking for advice...

Oh, I do this as well. And sometimes I become aware of my 'interview mode', which is pretty funny to me.
