I feel a strong desire for beer. I should have moved past this stage by now.

IDK about "should." But I do know about blood sugar. Keep yours stable and the craving will lessen.

Maybe I should consume some of that fresh pineapple I have in my fridge right now.
Making homemade XXX heat chili con carne. I plan on making chili dogs with some of it later tonight. Who wants some?

I gotta make ossobucco tomorrow for our Italian guests whose eyes lit up at the possibility of that. :) And your food sounds great - except I think I'd have the chili a bit less seismic than you guys seem to like! ;P
Making myself lamb for my solo Easter dinner. Never cooked lamb before today.

Rosemary and garlic goes well with lamb. Slice a few holes into the meat and fill it with both ingredients. Makes the meat tender.
We also put the meat into buttermilk a few hours before preparing it.
    Enjoy your meal!
Seriously, my entire blood family is a bunch of toxic c-bombs. There is no kinder way to put it.

I feel your pain :( My family isn’t even my blood family but they still suck.
Some people are genuinely evil and sadistic and have no redeeming features. And that is a fact I have to live with as some are related.

Have you heard the saying, "If you think there's good in everybody, then you haven't met everybody"? ;)
Hell, who wants a root beer with me tonight? I could grill up some burgers and we can have a BBQ. Forget our problems for a while.
I wish for bus service to be restored on weekends sometime eventually. I just am too isolated on weekends due to lack of transit.

You sound better. Like you are moving on from the stupidity of your blood-sucking mother. Congrats. I have to deal with a narcissistic mom, and a stupid over-spending bi-polar ex.

Let's put this perspective. I spend a lot of days over-sleeping. Lol
Nothing is bringing me pleasure or joy today. I do not want to get out of bed, there is no point in doing that for me today.
Listening to metal on vinyl tonight. I love having a soundproof house, I do not have to worry about neighbors now when I do this.
Playing the original Mass Effect currently. Such a great game.

It is a fun game. Especially Mordin.

I'm gonna embarrass myself, but here goes. In the 90s I once played Commander Keen for a week because I had bad gastro and couldn't leave home. I get nostalgic for it sometimes (Keen, not gastro!) but can't find it anywhere these days, too archaic?

I like simple games though like Mah-jong, Tetris, Mine Sweeper and the one with the worm that goes around the screen whose name escapes me...comes with Ubuntu I think... and I don't like shooting games. My husband enjoys Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. ;)
Spending this evening watching some of the movies that I bought but had not watched yet.

Do you think it's true that boys like movies with explosions and robots, while girls live movies with diseases, weddings and tears?
