    I decided that as of a couple of hours from now, I will shut down all Internet browsers, turn off my phone (checking it only once a day for messages), and doing a net browsing detox for a weekend until Monday morning when I return to work and have to start using the Internet browser again.

    I was just watching Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, and it had me thinking - Paul Reubens did not deserve the negative media attention he got for being in an adult theater and doing what most of the other guys were doing in there.

    One of the problems with being famous and well loved is that one ends up with a target on one's back.

    I think this is a universal rule, like the one that says "For every action there is a equal and opposite reaction."

    They may be the same rule, now that I think about it...

    A friend was going to visit me tonight, but he just texted and said he was sick the last couple of days. Ah, well. I still have company coming tomorrow.

    I am now becoming content with how my local social life is developing. Life is improving. If it can happen for me, it can happen for almost anyone else.

    I have been introducing a rainbow of veggies into my diet the last month. Leafy greens go well with garlic, I have discovered.

    I have good friends who can hang with me weekday afternoons, but they are married and spend time with their wives on weekends. I vow to put an end to weekend isolation this year.
