The dreadful, annoying, "how are you?"

This. Ohhh this. I hate it so much. I work retail, and every time someone asks me "How are you?" (500 x/day) I cringe inside. Why would you ask if you don't actually want to know?! Also: if I ask, I actually want a genuine, honest response. How is that weird?!

Thanks, that's a lot of great info. I actually just got off my first shift at my brand new job! I think I need to make an effort this time to really get to know people and add them to my 'network'. :)

Agreed. I am nearly 6 foot and female, and random women constantly ask me to grab something from a higher shelf - and it is never any different if I am alone or with someone. They just see that I am tall and have a chance of reaching it, where they don't. This seems most likely to me. :)

    Hallo...

Thanks for the welcome :) I am hoping I can find some people here to relate to and talk with, maybe play online games, etc, I am sure there are several people here who can relate to my difficulties of maintaining a social circle. ;) I probably should have mentioned: I live in Canada, I am...

    Hallo...

Hi everyone. Soo, a couple months ago I was talking to my mother on the phone, and she said sort of out of the blue "Well, I think you probably have Aspergers." My reaction was "Wtf?!" - I hardly even knew anything about what Aspergers was! Anywho, afterwards I decided to look up a bit...
