What subtype of autistic are you?

Sadly, each sub-type given is a negative......I am currently trying to lift my self-esteem as an adult with AS. I've got to choose, "None of the Above"

Does anyone find advertising to be really stupid?

Yes, but I find them MAJORLY annoying....but that's the point - so we sit around and talk about Ram trucks - they are in our heads. I am very literal so when someone tells that a certain shaving cream can save my soul, I walk away....

sorry you're in this Telsa.....I don't know if we love more....we (I) definitely have a naivete that lets us go sometimes "where angels fear to tread".....I don't know, maybe neurotypicals hold something back to protect their hearts that we don't.

    wishing....

I'm wishing that society's reception of AS would be more like it is of deafness, having to use a wheelchair, vision impairment, etc etc.....that is, I think that if I had a visual impairment, I would have absolutely no problem letting my boss know. I guess I would divulge this fact during the...

    Saturday morning...

I understand what you mean by, "Many unpredictable variables"........my "vision" is a gathering of us wherein we don't have to be concerned about who knows........it's not a public coming out.......kind of like the second "A" in AA.......we would all commiserate about how there are so many...

Suicidal Thoughts 10 Times More Likely in Adults With Asperger’s | Psych Central News Hello: As I was reading the above article, I began to think like this: "OK, people have this thing (and I am one of them). We didn't choose it. It's not a great situation. But what can be done? What can be...

The World Is Not What I Expected

I guess accepting anything adverse that happens to a person in their life is difficult.......it has been extremely difficult to accept my Aspergers. Like other posters on this thread, I excelled at school and college and thus expected my future career life to be a breeze......because the...
