Why are some Autistic people not toilet trained?

What is your problem? Why are you repeatedly attacking me for supposedly saying things that I never said? The OP asked "Why are some autistic people not toilet trained?" I simply posted one possible reason. You suddenly claim "So it's massively unfair for you to alienate some autistics even as...

Why are some Autistic people not toilet trained?

The reason that the phrase "inhabits their own private world" is clichéd is because it's overused and why do you think that is? Probably because in some cases it is actually true. I did not say that ALL autistics inhabit their own private world, I did not say that autistics do it to a higher...

Why are some Autistic people not toilet trained?

Yes, because it's truly how some profound autistics are. It's not a criticism, it's just an objective observation. The use of the word "harsh" is a subjective opinion.

Figurative Language (you can bet your bootie)

I've usually heard the first one expressed at "Getting the sh*tty end of the stick," which is obviously the least favourable end to have. I've heard the other one expressed as "having one's nose put out of shape" but I haven't got a clue what it means.

Figurative Language (you can bet your bootie)

I'm penny wise and pound foolish. I shop around to get the lowest prices for food and other low cost necessities but then squander large sums of money that I can't afford on items connected with my special interest.

Why are some Autistic people not toilet trained?

Some profoundly autistic people simply "inhabit their own private world" and are totally unaware of such trivialities as toilets, bathing, dressing and the rest of what society considers to be normal and required.

Are you scared of Snakes or Reptiles in general?

    Q) Are you scared of Snakes or Reptiles in general? A) No. I had a snake for a pet when I was ten.

    Wrong Planet

Don't take the word of other people as gospel, including me, make up your own mind. Go to WP, read through some threads and decide for yourself whether you want to join or not, whether it is a good or a bad place for you. I don't like it but plenty of other people do, it's a subjective thing, a...

Figurative Language (you can bet your bootie)

A Stitch In Times Saves Nine Always seemed like an unfinished sentence to me. What precisely were these unspecified "nine" things that a stitch would supposedly save? Was my mental response for years. I finally figured out what it meant by myself.

Did you even read the OP? The OP is asking for information with regard to an 11 year old schoolboy. OP: a good resourse for asperger and Autism information is The National Autistic Society (NAS)... http://www.autism.org.uk/

    Strange behaviors as a child

I made my own "Ginger Beer" by mixing pepper with dilute washing up liquid. And I drank it. I went through a phase of leaving my bedroom by jumping out of the winow rather than walking down the stairs. I had a thing about taking my clothes off. I danced around naked in the garden during...

    Wrong Planet

Considering you didn't even read all of the thread or have any personal interaction whatsoever with the original poster you make a lot of unsubstantiated assumptions. You assume she was there to "glean information about autism to then use it against us." Based on what evidence? The woman never...
