    Marriage Problems

That is such a bummer. I see I should have waited for part two. I'm sorry things are going so badly- that is a major betrayal. Since you still don't want to lose her, going to marriage counseling would probably be the best option if she is willing. She is being very childish, not following...

    Marriage Problems

I have to make this short, but I may write more later. My husband and I have been together since 15, and have been married 9 and 1/2 years, so your story caught my eye :). This may have something to do with a woman's need for girlfriends, despite a good marriage. Being an aspie, it may be...

    Folate reduces chances of autism

Just a guess, but it may be because our food is much less nutrient dense that it was 100 years ago because of factory farming practices, diet changes, and processing. So there would be less folate available in food.

Silly But Serious Question ; ]

I can dance. It's sort of a fixation, and it makes me happy. My husband says I am a very good dancer. He is not, but we still dance together to happy mexican music when we get the chance. At least he can keep a beat and serve as an anchor.

What was the last movie you watched?

That was one of my favorites as a kid.

Asperger's Syndrome and how it manifests for me

Yeah Loomis, that's me too. I guess that is why working retail in a little specialty toy store worked so well for me- I could easily do the initial social contact thing and come off seeming fine and friendly, because after they paid or got a little help finding a child's gift, they walked out...

What was the last movie you watched?

The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I enjoyed it, with the exception of looking away during physical affection. I can never stand to watch that stuff- I wish they just wouldn't put it in movies. But it was so strange to watch. It was like that boy was me at that age, except I wasn't as severe...

    Religion Thread

As far as the catholic church allowing priests to marry- I think that's a really important step forward for them and I hope they take it. I think that not allowing priests to marry is one of the most poisonous problems in the church. It would give priests a foot into reality. They will...

    Men & Women Please Answer...

I am a female with strongly suspected aspergers, though undiagnosed, depression, and OCD. For me, my major relationship problem is that I dissociate. However, I ended up with a guy who wanted to be loved and get married, and was willing so stick through the hard stuff like I was. We've had...

what are your quirks with others?

Simplyme- I'm the same way. Jokes too- when I mean to be funny in person it often doesn't work, but then I'll say something in all seriousness, and people will absoloutly crack up and tell me how funny I am.

    Apergers and lying

I used to pride myself oh how well I could lie. I would even come up with lies for other people! I didn't have a very good sense of right and wrong. Well, I knew the "rules," but I guess I didn't care. Means to an end, and that sort of thing. I am ashamed of my total lack of honesty for...

    Obsessed studying small religious sects?

When I hear about a new group I usually look them up and read all about them. I'm a little obsessed with knowing things. It's a fascinating, if not sometimes frightening, study in human psychology and, um, sometimes gullability? Anyway, you are certainly not alone!

I'm hopeless and extremely burnt out.

I don't know if it will help, but I want to tell you what my husband did. He got out of the Army thinking he could get a good job. Didn't happen. For a year we went through our whole savings to feed us while he was working at the water department (worst, lowest paying skilled labor job ever)...

Lonely in my differentness, but it is sweetly bitter...

I'm having one of those bad days where I dissociate, and feel lost and sad, and wish for help. Why, oh why do they tempt us with the word psychologist, as though anyone can actually help us? Because then I wish for that help and it doesn't come. When my muscles go weak, my heart included, I...
