    I've had this problem all my life too. I am getting better about the choosing part though. First off, I don't really have many opportunities to meet new people (and I'm okay with that!) but when I do I pay attention to who is interested in ME, and what I say, my life, etc. instead of me...

    I don't remember for myself, I only remember having another 6 year old who would do my bidding and interact for me, stealing the shoes of my special interest :tearsofjoy:....weird he wasn't won over by that.....For my own daughter she was about 4 or 5 before she even noticed people around her...
