    Need Help Understanding

Finally someone replies! Lol. I've been trying to figure out if what I've been experiencing is actually what I think it is but, when you have no one else around you with same conditions it can be quite hard. Thanks for helping to confirm my thoughts. And yeah, an actual diagnosis is long...

    Shame and Denial to Acceptance

This is a very insightful perspective and it makes me glad I'm not the only one who has gone through this. Thanks for sharing! :D

    Need Help Understanding

I'm relatively new to the autism world and autism in general, so I need some help here. What's the difference between meltdowns, sensory overload and panic attacks? Because, today, like most days, I experienced what I thought was a panic attack but lately I've been thinking it might be sensory...

Foods liked by Americans and Canadians that most other people hate.

I'm American. I'm also from the South (Tennessee) and a majority of the food down here is either covered or cooked in large amounts of butter, has a lot of unhealthy saturated fats, or is heavily carb based. Autism and Driving

I never learned to drive. I've always wanted to but I'm pretty certian my severe motion sickness combined with my hypersensitivity would probably make it impossible.

    Quiet by choice.

I have a volume control too. In my case, I often speak too quietly. It's gotten me in a lot of trouble over the years (especially at a job where I needed to talk at a normal volume)

    Wierd Things I've Noticed

Maybe. Lol. It could be entirely normal. Just something that's been weighing on my mind recently. :D

    Do you look your age?

Oh yeah. I'd say I look like I've aged more in the past seven years alone than my whole life. I guess the inability to handle most stress can do that to a person.

    Wierd Things I've Noticed

I think about this a lot actually because I honestly have no idea what it is but, does anyone have trouble differentiating things? Like, for example: sometimes I can't tell if something is cold or damp, which makes doing laundry a hassle. :D I also have trouble telling the difference between...
