Some autistics just cannot understand some things...

If there are any serious strenghs with autism, I haven't benifited from them. On Asperger's side, there are people who reach success, but they are far few inbetween the rest. Not to mention the rest of the autistic 'scale' who are really suffering.

What social things do you have difficulties with?

Eye contact is still very difficult. It works with some people and others it doesn't. Just yesterday had a meeting, sat down and had a conversation with a stranger and couldn't look them in the eye and glanced away. It just becomes difficult. I don't know how to solve it. Too much background...

    Advice needed

Could be that he is lying about his Asperger's as well. Does he have a formal diagnosis and papers to prove it? He could be using the lie as an excuse to get away from responsibility. But that's just my assumption. People lie all the about loads of different things so they wont get in trouble.

    Difficulty Finding Jobs

Yes. It is very difficult. There are just WAY too many recruitment steps. These "honest" companies are trying to find every single little reason why they should NOT hire you. I heard about a guy a few years ago who applied to Tesla inc. and they had 11 recruitment processes from interview...

    Stress over job hunting

I know exactly how frustrating it is. It's both infuriating and so extremely energy draining to the point where the enthusiasm for finding a new job is running on fumes. I mean one rejection after the other, times a hundred. At my age, I have lost so much motivation and hope that I don't really...

    Glamorizing homelessness

I've been in that situation before, for several months. There is nothing cool about being homeless. You might get a sense of being "free", but the engagement is not worth the payoff(hope I'm wording that properly). A week or two is not the end of the world, but prolonged homelessness is when you...

Anyone else have this? (related to heights)

I never been afraid of heights. Even close to a mountain top with extreme distance. I've been overwhelmed at times, but I wouldn't call it fear. I can understand that some people do have fear for that thing. It is a reasonable thing to be afraid of.

    Dental issues

I've been brushing my teeth pretty poorly in the early days, even to this day to some degree. But my teeth haven't suffered all that much and being close to 40 I've only had 2 teeth(one being wisdom) taken out and one root canal done. Dentists have said it's due to genetics my teeth are in such...

Is having bad social skills offensive.

Sadly it is. In our modern age. The demand for being social and outgoing is so high today that 200 years ago it would probably put the most social person to shame. Especially when it comes to employment. I don't think employers demanded this socialization environment just 100 years ago. They...

Need a Job where I don't meet people

No I don't have too many assets. And to be frank I don't want to take those risks. I already taken them more than once. There should be some isolated work placement with other employers. It can't only be semi-Truck jobs to avoid people. Come on.

Need a Job where I don't meet people

Bump bump. If anyone still has more suggestions, keep them coming. Tbh, I am trying to avoid transport stuff if I can. More like I come to a place, do my work, clock in, clock out, go home.

My diagnosis is in 2 days !!!!

I'm not so sure what to be happy about here. The diagnosis or the autism itself?

    *This forum sucks*

I've been on different internet forums for 2 decades since I was a teen, and what I honestly can say is these forums are not really meant to solve any issues, they are here for people who seek attention and need confirmation, they want to be seen and heard so they can feel good about themselves...

As an NT How do I know when I should ask out my (potentially Aspie) crush?

What is it that you like about his guy? If you don't mind telling.

Everyone I know is on Spotify?

Spotify is so overrated. I tried it few times, the commercials annoyed me, so I stopped using it. Altogether I had it for a month. Haven't touched it in years. Youtube is where you can get all your music and podcasts(which is the only Google service I use).
