    Routines vs. Schedules

I tend to follow the same general routine (eat the same things etc), and feel unhappy when I have to change my routine, but I've never done well with strict schedules imposing doing things at the exact same time each day. My brain just kind of crashes.

Do pain killers not work on aspies as well?

Medications usually work for me, except when I have a sore throat for some reason.

    Food

I have issues with textures, myself. I don't like the texture of a lot of fruits, especially tomatoes and raisins. I'm picky about my meat, I don't know how people can eat it when it's "well-done" aka burnt black. You might as well eat a leather jacket. I used to really hate ice-cream cake...

are you afraid to go to the dentist?

I find it very uncomfortable having my mouth full of stuff, and I hate the sound and feel of the metal thing they use to scrap off your teeth when they clean them. I also hate the sound of the newer thing they use to clean your teeth, the one that makes that horrible high pitched whine that...

    Vision or eyesight issues?

It's not unusual for people not to notice problems with a single eye, the brain is pretty clever about compensating for vision loss in one eye by using information from the other eye. That's why when you get your eyes checked they check each eye individually with the other one covered. As for...

    A Most Random Truth!

I should be in bed because it is 1:10 am and I need to be up in 5 hours in order to get to my college class by 8 am.

    Looking for an aspie friend

I am the same age as you (26), I live in Western Canada. I like to talk about books, and some computer games and internet things. I have Yahoo Instant Messenger, I also have Skype. but I don't use voice chat (don't even have a microphone or a webcam). My schedule is pretty consistent right...

    Stuff You Do Want

World Peace, my own private library, enough money never to have to work, and for EA Games to stop ruining The Sims and make The Sims 4 amazing. Oh and a pony. Because you always have to have the pony right?

What are things that you would do if you were to become a NT for one week?

Go to a singles bar. Meet some guy, get a date, kiss him goodnight. Find out if I'd like fruit if I didn't have a problem with the texture. Be more talkative at lunch time with my classmates.

    Vision or eyesight issues?

sounds like you should go to an ophthalmologist rather then an optometrist.

    Web-browser poll

I've been using Firefox for many many years, won't use IE unless I have no other choice, luckily most of the computers I run into have Firefox or Chrome installed. I've never heard of Pale Moon before, might give it a try, though I am reluctant to change after so long especially since I would...

Anyone react strongly to a word?

the c word bothers me too, so I basically never use it, other then that I'm I'm not really bothered by swear words too much. I don't use them too much but they don't really bother me. Though people who use them a lot do bother me sometimes, I think I heard somewhere it's a sign of trying to be...

    Do you have PDD-NOS?

I was told I had Asperger's at 14, a few years later another psychologist decided that PDD NOS was a better diagnosis. PDD NOS is just a way of saying you are on the spectrum but don't fit into either classic autism or asperger's syndrome.

I have mild autism and the dentist TERRIFIES ME!

I agree with Wyverary, I hate the sound and feel of the scraper against my teeth, my dentist and his assistants are really nice people but I still hate that damned scraper. I also had to have braces, and it was horrible having them adjusted because of the pressure on my teeth, sometimes...
