    Preparing for interview

If really can't hide how nervous you are, and you're acting really nervous, I guess you should explain that you get nervous in interviews, but that it won't be a problem within the job. Learning what kind of questions are usually asked in interviews and finding the answer in advance, learning as...

Memory. Can Aspies remember earlier in life?

How can you understand english since birth? Language is a learned thing so it would be impossible for you to understand it in the first few days you were born...

Part of me was still in denial...

Aww so tiny! I think it does qualify, especially if you're really into them. Though having a collection can be a non-aspie thing too.

How do I convince my 8 year old sister to remain cute?

Ooh! Everything makes a lot more sense now! I'm pretty sure that if we all knew what you meant by these words there wouldn't have been that much outrage. Well, good thing that she stopped being that way, being serious and following rules all the time seems boring, and trying to fit into a mold...

How do I convince my 8 year old sister to remain cute?

These people are acting really mean, and insults are definetly not the kind of thing that comes from truly mature people. If they're worried about you, offering to help you on certain things and trying to figure out why you don't seem to do much by having polite discussion would be much more...

So I'm considering buying a fancy dress costume, what to get though?

Banana man would be the most original as most people do not know the character (I didn't), so most people wouldn't be dressed as him but since he's not very known people would not know who you're dressed as (though they will see that it's a parodic version of batman). It's a good way to...

    I keep losing my jobs...

Thanks guys! I guess that doing many different tasks at once or in rapid succession is more of a problem for me, I suppose I should look for a job that isn't fast paced. I really like working with children, so I should seek out jobs related to that I guess, and many be the library would be good too.

    I keep losing my jobs...

I'm not officially diagnosed with autism, and I didn't tell them I was an aspie either. I did various types of jobs and never got past training except for that summer job. I worked in a mall food stand and I ended up leaving because the boss was abusive (calling me stupid when I asked questions...

    I keep losing my jobs...

So I just lost my job and I'm devastated, because that happens every time except once (but it was a summer camp job so it only lasted one summer, and they made it pretty clear that I wasn't all that great). I always only last two weeks and then I'm sent away because I'm not good enough, even...

Comment by 'Aspie_rin' in 'Why do you bother to think about what you think?'

There are many biases a person cal fall into when thinking, wich can leads to errors, so I think it's important to think about how you think. Thinking about how you think can also reveal a lot about yourself, that you might not have realised before.
