ZOMBIE
Person who has been awake too long
Numb/insensitive

Really old zombie movies from the 30s/40s/50s were pretty
dry. They were dull witted humans who had a spell put on them.
Normal enough to begin with but under the control of someone else.
No will of their own.

Zombies have been very popular for several years now, but they aren't
like the spell-bound ones I saw in the old movies. I figure that the current
crop of zombies [as in the Walking Dead] represent younger people's
view of 'the older generation'/aka their parents/adults. [the ones who
'ruined the earth'/the ones with no feelings...etc.]

I think of my aunt, a staunch Baptist, going out with my parents and
planning to order a Zombie. She liked the name.
She got talked out of it, in favor of a pousse-café apparently,
because the novelty was all the layers, whereas
a zombie is a mixed drink. Not as pretty.

For a long time I had the two of them confused, but it's apparent that
she had the pousse-café from the description of the layers of colored
liqueurs.

PICNIC
A fun time
Carefree
Eating outside

"Zombie Picnic" is a clang phrase, an example of cognitive dissonance.
Zombies and picnics don't mix, if you are living human.
What is 'fun' for a zombie isn't fun for a living person.
A zombie picnic is a massacre.
A zombie would enjoy a battle field, snacking on the wounded.
They want snacks, but not fast food...
