Thoughts re: VooDoo

The 4th generator I made was titled "How to Use Your VooDoo Doll."
VooDoo
doesn't appeal to me. I associate it with killing chickens
and casting spells. Thinking evil, mainly.

The letters V.D. stand for venereal disease, aka sexually transmitted disease.
When I was little I didn't get the idea of V.D. exactly, because I mistook the
word "venereal" for "vernal." It didn't make any sense that people looked down
on something that occurred seasonally. Eventually I got the 2 words straightened out.

I used the word 'voodoo' in the generator because I know a person
who liked thinking that she could project harm onto other people
by making paper dolls and writing bad prophecies regarding their
lives. She says she stopped when a child she figured she had
curse actually became sick and nearly died.

I told the same woman I'd give her materials for making voodoo dolls
provided they were positive. Other wise she would be on her own.
She made a 3 foot image of her daughter, to wish wellness toward her.

Voodoo seems the same to me as praying, but in the wrong direction.
I think of praying as the mental alignment with what is the best
outcome for a situation.
